Setting Up a Light

Ello..Greetings.. I was a proud member of Natureshigh.com but they closed the sight a few months back..
Ok I found 2, 175 watt Mh ..Pic below..Ok..Theirs no ignitor..What do I need to get these baby running...I also have a couple of Electronic ballast with loose wires...277 volt 60hz..Its a 2 lamp instant start..How would I go by hookin this up ? ...If not could I get a real statement from you guys instead of the normal " search in the forums" yea its not what i need..I need your response..

Are the wires labeled? All of my wires are labeled. Maybe check with the people you bought it from.It looks like the red wire is power going in and the two blues go out to each common (white) on the lights. So hook the black from your cord to black on the lights. Same with green. Then take your white and hook it to the igniter red and the two blues to the lights (white). If that doesnt work then I suggest my first suggestion.

aight i just found out.. the red n blue blue that you see in the pictures scratch it... How can I hook up the lights to get power ? I wanna kno if i can just buy a heavy duty extension cord n splice n connect ?

Yep.


I thought everything was built in that hood. So yeah just get an extension cord and cut the end off. Make sure you are not too high and cut the wrong end off. lol. Get some wire nuts/caps and make sure you screw them on tight. A loose connection can start a fire. Tape it up with black tape when you are done. Good luck!

do u know what household current is? Make sure theyre not the kind from the street..

They should be 120v. I had one like that before. Shouldnt be 2-3 amps so pretty much any extension cord should work without getting hot. If it does get hot you will need a thicker cord.

Yea everything is in the box.. Havent took anything apart.. I new it.. ill get a heavy duty extension cord n connect.. Thanks..

home depot has cords with just the male end on them in a variety of gauges
