Setting up a tent

Sup guy's, im wanting to set up a tent for winter. I have never done indoors and don't rellay know what i need, or where i should get it. I'm looking at a 48x24x60 tent for 84.00 from growace.com. Was thinking of trying to use a 400 watt light for the tent and was considering buying it from here also.
Any input would be helpful guy's, suggestions etc...

its quite straight forward, that light will work for that size tent, you will also need an inline fan, 4 inch will do for that tent, are you buying a coolshade? ive found that tents get quite hot and haveing a air cooled hood saves alot of headaches with controling the heat, if youve got the room i would go with the bigger tent and light! the dr 120 with a 600 light produces some nice bud, your tent is 4 foot x 2 x 5 the dr 120 is 4 x 4 x6.6, get a clip on oscilation fan so it doesnt take up any floor room,

Thanks for the input. Yea, i was looking at their cool tube but wasn't sure if i would need one. But was thinking of getting it for the exact reasons you stated.
The tube is six inch so couldn't i just use the six inline fan for venting and exhaust.
Or would i want more.

yes the 6 inch would work no problem! you could even buy a speed controler and turn the fan down, less noise, 6 inch inlines are normally around the 400 cfm mark your tent is only about 40 cubic foot, so that 6 inch fan could run at half speed and still cool your light an tent.

Hers a couple drawings i drew up helping with a tent vent set-up. The first one is most optimal with a split filter and tube run, 2 4" fans wouls work here. The second combines the filter and tube runs, you would want a 6" fan to pull this run.

Second diagram would probably be easiest for me. Thanks man + rep

im doing it the second diagram and it works well, 600 light and 6 inch 450 cfm ruck fan, temps are sitting at 75 now with the weather getting colder.

would be for me too ..... but i'm gonna have to go with the first as i want to use my speed controller and a second fan to ensure i can cool my tent.... i really dont want any over heating issues..... cutting the tent is my only concern, but i'm not too worried as i will be putting my tent in a plywood box anyways

but it does have its draw backs such as if you lower or raise your light it puts bends in the ducting and lowers air flow rate..... so not only will it look untidy ... it means if you have turned down the fan for noise reasons you'll have to turn up the fan speed to shift more air to cool the bulb
