hello all,
i'm setting out on the great voyage that is my first (long-awaited) grow. planted 2 white widow fem seeds 8 days ago and they've been slowly but healthily sprouting and growing on my sunny windowsill. however they've got to go into my designated closet grow space when they start to look like what they actually are ;-)

i've researched growing methods for a while now, and i've bought cfl bulbs, fans, organic fertilizers etc. but the part i'm most confused about atm is the light bulb fixtures.

going to home depot today-- need help! what do i look for? some of you look like you've got bulbs that plug in to surge protectors? do i use the same fixtures for the veg bulbs and the flowering bulbs?

thanks for the halp!!

ok you can do it a million different ways.. look at the ghetto group for tons of ideas. but you can get sockets that plug right into outlets, plug those into surge protectors, get Y splitters, or get clamp lights. It all really depends on what YOU need for your area. I personally bough a ton of clamp lights cause i can move them around anywhere with or without the clamp. my second grow with got ruined... :(.... had two surge protectors ona woodenboard with sockets plugging into the outlets and I had Y splitters there.. it really all depends man

as for lights. higher watts if possible like 23+ and veg is 6500k and flower more 2700k.. and yeah you can use the same fixtures, just switch out the lights when its time to flower.. hope this helps
