Just wondering if anybody has any knowledge around the mars hydro ts3000 LED lights and wether or not I should bother using the dimmer function or just run 100% through the whole grow, what do you guys think?

I'd dim it for a seedling at maybe 40% then bump it up as more growth comes in. I'm at 60% in a 2.5x2.5 / TS1000 only 2 sets of leaves. Higher intensity with led can bring out deficiencies faster. So I've come to learn. I will probably keep it on 60-75% til I flip for flower then I will blast her all in the face at 100%. lol

I have the ts1000 run full power 10” from tops at week 2 flower very very slight heat stress in 2.5x2.5 tent, at younger stages of life life 4vweeks from seed and under I just keep it at 25” at full power with no issues... also run tsl-2000 full power in flower tent leaves pray with No signs of heat stress 8” from tops with fans going on them...love mars ts lights...I’ll never buy hlg lights...don’t see the point of spending 800-1100$ when 2 280$ tsl-2000 lights are cheaper and more power...I mean their 300 watts that’s a crazy amount of power for 2x4 flower coverage...was running optic 1 xl lights and the growth difference is night and day mars ts all day erry day...the extra blue spectrum they have have crazy growth in a dialed in coco grow

I have the tsl2000 and find 60% @ 24" is just right for seedlings, planning to up to 95% for veg then 100% for flower.

At week 4 veg I lower the tsl-2000 to 24” at full power Never seen an issue with them at that stage of their life...can’t speak for seedling Because keep them at 30” full power under the til-1000 untill week 4...also regarding the tsl-2000 I lower it 12”from the tops at the start of week 4 flower with the odd ball top stretching above the others as close as 7-8” with no signs of light or heat stress running 100% power

Week 3 of flower under the mars hydro ts3000 in soil
I've recently acquired 3 of them, they're the only LED's I've messed with, so far.

How do you like yours?
How high above the canopy can I run them in mid to late flower?
I'm afraid that I'm being too conservative by keeping them too high, out of fear of burning the plants, thus not getting the intensity and penetration that's available
.The LED's are new to me

I run mine at the manufacturer recommended distance, I think they say 18-24" in flower.

When I put my plants from the veg tent over I will run it around 50% and then up it maybe 15 or 20% a week until it's full strength for the finish.

I'm harvesting my first full 4x4 at the end of the week but it seems to work pretty well.

I'm using A TS 3000. I got a pound and a half on my first grow with it. Nice light. I have my four new girls under it now. I've put the power as low as it will go with out making a buzzing noise.. about 35%

I’ve been using the ts 3000 for 30 days of bloom, after 20yrs with 1000 hps.. first off, the burn is easy to get even at factory recommended.. I’m 2.5 ft above the canopy now after seeing early stage of burn a 18”. My plants aren’t near as happy as my hps plants. My yealds look to be suffering as well.. I’m still on the fence as to the future using them for me.. not retiring my 1000 hps’s yet.
