Severe Taco'ing

I'm looking for help from long time growers who have had this problem. Please don't post if you have "suggestions" on what it could be. I've had two grows with this taco'ing and each time i've followed advice from here and it nothing changes so don't take offense if you are reading this and you suggested it on previous post.

When I say taco'ing i'm not talking about a tiny roll of the edges of the leaves, i"m talking the WHOLE leaf rolls together so close together on some leaves that looks like a better blunt I rolled a decade ago. :) I'll post pics when lights come on and a couple with lights off since the HPS bulb won't have great appearance.

I'm using flora nova bloom right now. EC has been around 1.0 and ph drops slightly around 6.1 and a few days later i'm at 5.7. I'm using hesienberg tea at the for maintenance. Water temps are 71 right now but there isn't any slime whatsoever. Temps on at the canopy are around 74-76 lights on and 64 with lights off.

Background:

3 PineApple Express and one Cheese

Everything looked fine this grow from the beginning of veg but I decided to go full Maxibloom nutes since I've always read good results. My EC was around .8 and jumped to close to 2.0, plants where reaching for the sky and looked good but the canopy started to take a lime green look almost from the inside of the leaf outwards and everything started turning that color so I backed off to .8 again and a week later yellowing occurred. So I posted in my Anybody use maxi bloom thread and majority suggested upping the ec to a higher level. I knew the taco'ing would appear but decided to give it ago since I didn't want the yellowing to occur so I jumped to 1.3. Taco'ing started and I backed off to 1.0 where I've been for a while but the tacoing has not stopped and become pretty bad. Here are two different post, one from a previous grow where everyone thought I was either overfeeding or had temp issues. (I was at 1.5-1.6 at one point) and the other post is the maxi bloom post where things started turning bad this grow.

This is happening in flower around 3-4 weeks

I still have a bag of Maxibloom but like I said I've been using flora nova at around 3mls per gallon with 5 mls of calmag

I'll edit this post with pics in a little bit when lights turn on

Sorry for sounding rather obtuse, friend but I think we may be at a loss as to what help you may need.
Could I ask how high your lights are from the top of your plants for starters...?

Here are some pics. As you can see the leaves are almost touching.

I've tried raising lights, lowering Ec, adding more calmag, rasing temps,

Lights are 12-15 inches away. Last grow I raised them well over 2 feet and the taco never reversed. The buds are flaky or stringy looking like last grow. Also some plants are taking on the dark green leather/shiney look to them as well.

It looks like you are growing a bunch of Venus Flytrap plants. Hoho

You plants look like they are trying to protect themselves. I would suggest that heat from above could be causing it but if you think that is not the case then a lack of ability by your plant to bring up the necessary nutrients and water for self protection could be an avenue to explore. Tacoed leaves rarely come back from the taco state so that should not be an indication of failure to cure or looked as indication of anything really . I noticed on some older leaves a clear sign of Potassium deficiency. It shows as brown tips on the end on the serration of the leaves.

I am not going to go further than to say that you could send your curious leaves to a lab for analysis. You might be able to find a lab in your area but out of state is possible too. The lab doesn't really have to know what the sample is, they will tell you they do and it would be very helpful to you if you could declare it as cannabis but even if you did they wouldn't' have any objective ideal results to compare it to. They will want a dried sample of the leaves so tell them that it is from a tomato plant and they shouldn't ask much more. If you are in a state that is legal and has a vibrant ag. culture then this won't be a problem. If not you will have to try harder and be creative. Rock on and good luck

excessive heat stress a VPD issues
temps, your getting hot at some point. No way your staying at consistent 70....
These guys are right, looks like a heat issue. The taco'd leaves are closest to the light, the leaves deeper and protected in the canopy look fine.

Raise your lights and/or adjust your reflector. Might also try to pull out more hot air.

What wattage of hps? With 400 watt that distance is already on the short side. 12-16" for 400w, 20-24" for 600w, 30-40" for 1000/1100w.

Less is doable but then everything else has to be optimal, like air temp and humidity and nutrients regime.

It could be heat related, but at that temp it might be due to a lack of air movement. if you don't have a fan blowing, you should.
also it looks like you have some leaf tip death, indicating over fert. I don't know why your pH is dropping but where and when do you measure this? if this is a soil grow 5.7 is too low. should be more like 6.3 and drift upward to 6.7 or .8. if hydro then 5.7 and upward drift should be fine. maybe I missed it but you need to say what medium you're using. if soil, does it already have nutes in it? if so, your adding more is causing you a problem. changing ferts probably should be avoided unless you know for sure that you need to.
