Sexing from clones?

Hey I searched around on the site for a while but couldn't find the info I was looking for so I was hoping someone could point me in the right direction or give me an answer. I have some White Queen growing now and after I harvest in around 2 weeks I'm going to be moving the White Queen to the flower room. I have heard that you can sex a plant by taking a clone and once rooted moving it to the 12/12 light cycle and it will start showing its sex. My question is how long does it usually take to show it's sex if you use this method?

I figured it would probably start showing within 2 weeks like most plants, but wasn't sure. I'd like to have them sexed before setting them up in the flowering room since I do have some options as I'll be growing some Super Lemon Haze that is feminized as well as Purple Diesel and the unknown strain of female clones I have. Any help would be appreciated greatly. Thanks.

I'd expect about a week to sex rooted clones. Our fully vegged plants usually show sex two days after the first lights out..

if you take the cut you can place in a cup of water and put it under 12/12 the same day it is cut it will show sex, i have had a plant survive 2 weeks ina cup of water, it did not root but stayed healthy and showed sex.

There is no need to root a clone just to sex it, just extra work/time. The glass of water works just fine.
