SF 1000 V2 - Spider Farmer Grow Light Review

UPDATE : WEEK 4 ( ish )

Well , so far these girls are stinking up the house like nobody’s business .... KKP Buds are compact and getting dense.
HSO BD is going well too but is younger than the KKP , Buds on those are shaping up nicely too. Panel is moving along without a hitch.

Only thing I did was , angle hang the board to help spread footprint since I can’t just hang over one plant. That plant is a bit faded more than I like , and I assume it was light stressing. But seems all KKP is a bit lighter in leaf than I like .... even with a solid top dress and even a tea made from FFOF. So probably next time I run that strain I might use that updated mix I am running on a separate grow thread.

They are flowering well , but really like them greener , oh well. They are drinking regularly at about every 3 - 4 days so not really too concerned.

@Spiderfarmerled SF1000 is working quite well and plan to run it with new seeds after this run.

Definitely recommend growers give them a run .... For $159 , it’s a steal to get into the grow game.

Yeah , some areas are hella high in pricing of Oz. Even though I have some jarred buds to vape , I change up things once in awhile with edibles and live resin carts. Matter of fact that Chemstomper resin will be made into carts using 760 GLASS .COM cart kit.

Week 4 ... I am thinking at least another month , just getting bit fast fade. Trying to compensate feed until wheels fall off.

update : week 5

@Spiderfarmerled SF1000 is doing fantastic so far .... no issues noted. However , my original layered mix I chose to use is tapping out so I will have to “ spoon feed “ a dry fertilizer top dress this week , starting to get potassium deficiency . But overall plants are plumping up nicely under this panel. Panel runs surprisingly cool for me and really hasn’t needed any adjusting. The angled positioning is something I plan to run again instead of direct downward hang. Spinning plants occasionally helps too with light penetration. Even though it is a different approach compared to recommendation.

I think with a more dialed in grow ( scrog ) / DWC or mainlined, I probably could have really pumped out some tops . But , I guess your mileage will vary in your setups.

Plants smell heavy and deep sweet . I have started 2 solos under the current 12/12 for a seed making side project . I am doing this to
save more of this KKP strain - one cup ( left ) getting CS spray and the other for pollination/ seeds. This side project is for another thread I post to.

Anyways , this deep into the review ....... I can say with honesty , that Spider Farmer has become a great option for either beginners and experienced growers looking for reliable led. The build quality is nice compared to other brands .

Week 7 :

Pics at lights out , and tent getting zipped for the night. Layered mix is squeaking by , but will have to bump the potassium ( yellow leaf edges / burn mimic ) so I will add an appropriate PK bump. Flowers are getting chunky and bumpy! ..... and stinks of sweet dank. Panel @Spiderfarmerled is working well .... just gotta ride out next couple weeks for KKP ... Blue Dream will carry on with flower.

UPDATE : Week 8
Strain - KKP ( Durban Poison x GG4 ) King Kong Poison
100 watt dimmable LED panel

Chop time - I began checking triches for the last 5-7 days and noticed plants were pretty much getting to the point I usually aim for.
But never really had any grows go around 8 weeks as most of the time I expect 9 weeks or so. However I have noticed that watering jumped to literally every other day ..... other than that all good. Aroma is strong off these girls .

Strain throwing pretty Purp phenos . Layered mix apparently made it til end even with some exhaustion issues.

I decided to do a simple wet trim and l am leaving them in bags for next day or so to begin “ drying out “ before stalk chop and hang.

Panel allowed me 3 plants from original 4 ( male tossed ). This review isn’t really about yield as everyone’s results will vary.
Only regret was that I didn’t mainline or even scrog but still pretty happy. Panel worked beautifully overall and will definitely be used again in my future grows ( perhaps in a supplementary role ). I believe the IR addition helped this run. However I hope @Spiderfarmerled
continues to perhaps expand on more IR emitters per board and maybe UV .

I want to thank @Spiderfarmerled for the chance to spend time with the SF1000 V2 panel. Overall i definitely would recommend this LED option for growers both beginning and experienced . The build quality and performance speaks for itself. LM 301b Samsung / mixed spectrum and IR .... what’s not to like ?

I might do a final dry weight later for those maybe interested . Cali RH has been a bit low ( 47/ 50 ish ) today , hence leaving them in medium for now and medium begins to dry out.

Ended up with just a bit over 93 grams from a 100watts panel . Looks like this light is a win !
I obviously do and will recommend this led light to any and all growers looking for an affordable/ reliable / well built rig.

Zero complaints.

Is there an SF1000 V2? In some of the posts it's "SF1000" and some have the "V2" after it, and I can't find the SF1000 V2 (from the link or going directly to the SF site). I was just wondering if it's the same thing. Need a light - looking for and comparing different lights/light companies. Thanks!

There is no V2. There is however an SF1000D. This is a less potent, non-dimmable version of the SF1000.

I was looking at both the SF1000 and the SF1000D and thought it was just because of the dimmability. Going back over both I do see some other differences).
