Sf 4000 light hight/

Hi there. I will be starting my indoor cultivation journey soon.

I was able to snag an older (pre dimmer model) sf 4000 for 80 bucks, and it will go into a 4 by 4 tent. I am unsure where to start. My best assumption would be about 18 inches from my canopy, any additional information or tips would be appreciated.

In addition, the last item I need to add to my setup will be an AC Infinity 6 inch cloudine duct fan and carbon filter. While I don't think it will hurt to set up the light and start germination in a seed dome, am I creating any unnecessary difficulties by not installing the kit before starting to use the space?

Since it’s running at 100% I think you’ll want it much higher, especially with seedlings. SF recommends 24 inches at 40-60% for seedlings. 18 inches at 80-100% for veg. 12 inches at 100% for flowering. Since yours doesn’t have a dimmer, you’ll have to hang it higher for seedlings and veg.
