and my babies are out there...what are the odds that theyre going to make it?
theyre 3 miles away...run out and cover your plants with tarp
Remote. Cover 'em up if you can. If you can't, wait a week - until it warms up a bit - and germ some more seeds.and my babies are out there...what are the odds that theyre going to make it?
I've had plants out in -4c and they were OK. I'm north like you. If you can, cover.I live in Denmark..and the weather was not supposed to be like this.
my plants are about 10 inches now, but the stems are relatively thin. theres a lot of trees and low branches around the spots where I put them, but I dunno if that helps. the temp also dropped to 32 degrees last night.
I plan on getting a greenhouse when I eventually buy a house. the tubing idea sounds cool, but wouldnt that require loads of electricity? or do you have another kind of system in mind?I have always had this idea...
In my drive way when I have my own house if it is in an area that gets snow I want to embed small strips of tubing that heat up and melt snow on impact. It would probably work well for growing outdoors too!
