Shared Res, but one plant will be finished too early

I have a 6 plant dwc tub with 6 different strains. 5 of them should be fine as their flower times are roughly the same, but one of them is an auto.

How can I deal with this? It looks like the auto will finish maybe 20days before the rest, but all the roots are tangled so taking out the auto when it is done will be a problem.(would it be possible to do it though?)

Can you I do a staggered harvest on the auto? Maybe cut the main buds when they are done, but leave the rest to fatten up then chop them when all the other plants are done? Or can I just leave the auto go an extra 20days or will it go hermie if i do?

PS - I know I'm an idiot for putting the auto in with the rest, a total oversight on my case.
Whats my best option?

I've seen a few growers use dividers in their res just to keep this from happening.In my opinion,I would harvest when ready just leave the main stalk in the system.I would imagine if it dies you don't want the dying roots to fuck up the rest of your grow.Wouldn't hurt to add an enzyme to help break down the roots that may be decaying.Hygroyzm sorry for the misspelling works well.Hope this helps.Once again just my opinion.

Bit of a risk of root rot there though. Would it be possible to just keep the auto alive until the end, so the roots wont breakdown?

bump - will it be possible for me to harvest the top colas of the auto and then leave in flower longer to bulk up the rest of the lower buds? Or what happens to an auto if you go past the flowering times, will it hermie?

I'm no expert but I don't think you'll have a problem chopping the top and leaving the rest. I do it all the time with plants in soil, aeroponics , and dwc.

I don't think it should. Plant is just going to run its life cycle. Its not going to hermie unless its stressed or light leaks so unless you have either of those two problems I think your good.

cool, i might be able to stretch the flowering time of it by doing it in stages :)

Just harvest the plant when its done and then afterword's cut that plants roots out as good as you can, you'd be amazed how easy they pull apart sometimes also. left over roots shouldn't hurt your plants.
