Sharing my love for purples

I also love the purps. Once I start playing around with breeding I'll probably go the same route. Name Shaker from Cannarado is the purplest I've ever grown. The leaves were deep purple and the buds were almost black.

Like I mentioned in my original post. I definitely started doing it for profits. Then it turned into much more once i became familiar with the cannabis culture.

That being said.. Half the breeders in tbis world are breeding for profits.. If they say otherwise well then thats what they say ive come across some horrible people and companies buying my seeds and then blicking me out just to put their own names on them haha.. Its a wild west business for sure!
What's the name of the aforementioned genetics you sell?

so i decided a few years ago to create my own with some real flavor and thc lol.. I
Breeding for 13 years or... Smoking for 13 years and growing for a few?

Nice plants though. I had been given some Autoflowers (tropicanna poison or something)
that looked like your plants before.

How are you selecting and tracking the transfer of colors to your different offspring? Or is it just all put together?

What is the second crossing there?
That's just a straight ACE Pakistani Chitral Kush. There is really no secret to purple weed. PCK will give you all the purple you want. They don't say it but most of the breeders making purple started with it or something similar. Some outfits act like they found some super rare pheno or something.

If you want purple then grow some ACE PCK.

The thing with PCK is the less common green pheno is much better than the purple. At least in my opinion. I've been working on a cross of PCK and Durban that I've been trying to breed the purple out. At F6 it's pretty stable with uniform plants and 80% green plants. I'm getting ready to start another run to F7 and then I'm calling it done. It will be as stable as it can be and then that will be part of the foundation for another project I'm doing that involves some South American and India genetics.

So I've been breeding colors for about 13 years now. Ive stabilized some pretty nice stuff over the past few years so i figured id introduce RIU to my greatest creations so far. Creating seeds is something that truly makes me happy. At first it was something just to make some extra money but then i actually fell in love with pheno hunting males and females.. Now i do it to challenge myself into pulling certain traits from my genetics and creating the most exotic creations ever! Shout out to all the growers in this community, seems like there is alot of good ones!
They look so nice with the colors but don't you find purple weed to be lacking somewhat? What I mean is that it just doesn't seem to have the "Punch" I like. It's somewhat subdued in effect and character, and taste. That's just the way I have found it to be.

But everyone has different tastes and different reactions so maybe it's just my physiology and how different types of weed react with different people.
I'm a big sativa fan while others prefer indica's. Fortunately there is plenty of variety for everyone to find what they like.

Around F6/7 you start to get black no? I agree the green pheno is the best. But the purple has the Placebo of being better. I wanted to test the two phenos a while ago so to have a definitive answer of the differences.. Never did though.

Ocasionally will pull a plant that is showing purple but upon inspection it isn't the flower only the resin glands.. Green underneath.
Ah now I'm drooling.

Bubblegum Hash..

No black. But now that you mention black, I have a pack of ACE Orient Express I need to run and try and isolate the Vietnamese Black in it.

Purple is an inferior genetic trait. Nice to look at but green phenos will always be superior. Chlorophyll is crucial for plants photosynthesis. Purpling is the plants way of showing signs of not being able to convert it properly.

I guess you been studying plant biology lately? They are nice to look at. Just like beautiful flowers. I consume Cannabis for medicinal effects though, not looks. Each to their own.

Ah no. You see, I wasn't asking for a defensive answer just what you think those elements add to the plant.

Thanks

I answered your question? What do you want me to add to that comment?
Nothing at all I appreciate the response.
Was wondering if you consdiered those things sub-par also or if they play any significance and you're correct you answered the question.

Thanks!

I agree. I've found the purple to be inferior to the green pheno's in strains where both are present.
