Shed Conversion Or Polytunnel?

Hi guys im looking to setup a outdoor grow in my back garden but i have very nosey neighbours who do not like my whatsoever so im trying to make my decision carefully on what kind of greenhouse setup to buy or build. The greenhouse would be located in a garden right next to a bunch of other gardens just separated by a fence as the property is a terraced house.

I was considering a nice 3m x 2m polytunnel you know the green polycarbonate ones? i was going to paint the inside with white greenhouse shade paint so know nosey pricks could see through it. My only concern is doesn't a green polycarbonate greenhouse painted white on the inside just look so suspicious? alternatively i could use black mesh you know the stuff made for shading?

My other idea was to buy a shed and remove the roof replacing it with opaque polycarbonate roofing panels this would be impossible for anyone to see through and i thought would look less suspicious but then again a shed with a plastic white roof?

My questions are would i get enough light to grow some monsters through the shed converted with the polycarbonate roof? or would i be best going with the polytunnel? which would look less suspicious?

I do want to heat this in the winter seasons and do some autoflowering crops as i know days are to short in winter to do successful photo plants of large size.

I probably do a greenhouse or hoophouse with some opaque covering. There a covering that's 55% opaque and still gives 85% light transmission. There's also canvas type coverings that someone wouldn't be able to tell what's inside. Neither of those options are the rigid stuff though; I'm not familiar with rigid coverings and either way your still going to have fragrance emitting from it, so choose your strains wisely.

6 mil plastic sheeting is actually good enough to block sight of what's growing in there. i'd be more worried about the smell though.

Thanks for the replies the thing im mainly thinking of is not blocking the sight of them as that seems fairly straight forward with the opaque coverings and shading materials its making it look like ive not gone out of my way to hide the contents of the greenhouse. I would be well happy with a opaque covering but do these things actually look like your hiding the contents of your greenhouse? because as i said i have nosey neighbours and wouldn't want to look like i was going out my way to make a private greenhouse.

Want the covering to fit in with the colour of the greenhouse so as i said it doesn't look like im hiding anything.

Was going to go with northern lights as the strain because when i grown it last year it had virtually no smell to it

I have seen some nice plants grown on sheds to, but I'd pick a hoophouse.

I don't think there's any suspicious about opaque coverings either. A lot of greenhouses use opaque coverings because a lot of plants do better with diffused light

Since I assume your in the UK, the hoophouse might be slightly ballsy. Maybe the shed is a better idea. I don't know, I'm not familiar with your guys' laws.

And I'd think you'd need at least a couple layers of that shade cloth for someone not to be able to see what's inside. It makes it less obvious but I can usually tell if someone has ganja plants on the other side even from a distance.

Awesome advice thanks mate yeah im in the UK and the neighbours here are like hawks they notice everything lol. But the last thing i would think they would suspect is me doing that in a greenhouse in the garden we have been at the property for a number of years over 15 so it shouldn't be to suspicious.

Will look into some darker coloured shade cloth that would better hide the contents

Has anyone done polytunnels or plastic greenhouses here? im guessing humidity would be a serious problem. I want to be able to run this in winter if possible as well though im thinking a heater and some auto flowers should work not to badly? even with 8 hours of sunlight lol.

Smell really shouldn't be a problem if i go with a strain like northern lights you can hardly smell them especially not considering i have 4 lavender bushes that are already established and huge.

Awesome doublejj no other word for it cant believe how healthy them girls look thanks for shearing wish i could do a similar setup but guaranteed i would be in jail by next week if i did lol with it being in a built up area.

Im considering going for something like this as it looks more normal than a polytunnel lol.

Also could someone tell me what they think would be the best shading for a polytunnel or plastic greenhouse just to make it private from the outside what you think rik?

If i was to get this going in the UK mid july time how much chance would you say they would get to grow before harvest? as would be about 4 months i think before the sun changes its schedule properly.

Lol I thought about buying one if those little guys for my orchids and pitcher plants... I'd put it on my porch of course. Though osh wants wayyyy more than that.
