thanks for the help purp any other comments our advise is more then welcome!!

and for sure they will ALWAS have a fan on them when teh light is on

<3
Cut a 6 inch circle and slide it on in the hole lol.
LOL I never saidI didnt work at HD lol but i dont althogh I did apply their a few years ago when I was still in school lol. I do know for sure the 6 inch inline fan will not come with a cord cuase I got one from their. You will have to buy a 99 cent extension cord and wire it together but be carefull when wireing it so you dont cause a possible short in your wall outlet and posted erlyer about twiring it up :-P:-P:-P:-P:-P:-P:-P:clap::clap::clap::weed:
I keep my fans on 24/7 and always blowing on the plants aswell thats very important.

never cut a circle in a wall i have cut a box for lightswitches and light sockets but never a circle we will see how that goes... lol

and im here to learn so im dong what you advise i moved the ballast(sp?) out of the room and all the way across the room next to my computer.(my internet cord comes out of that closet so now it just looks like a big cable cord going to my computer lol cuz the ballast is right behind it pretty sweet lol any ways my ballast has HPS and HM switches and i dont really know what kind of bulb it is.. he told me it was a METAL SODIUM BULB idk how to check what kind it is..i have the switch on HPS and it seems to be working fine with the light....i have not yet tryed to switch it on the MH setting..kind of scared lol

Nice man. lol metal sodium BlAHAHA the ballast can take both MH AND HPS and from your pics it look like HPS bright now cuase hps is like the light from the sun and MH is like day light their 2 completly differnt types of light intensity. But yeah i guess cutting a whole in the wall is a bad idea just a square lol.

Thank you.. i left them really close to cfl's and that AG(areogarden or what ever..) i used that light also they where about 1-3"'s away from the lights at all times keeped them on 24/7 till they got to this size now i put them under the big light. It still has not been 18 hrs they have been under the light for about 10 and they seem to be likeing it alot..

I have a seed that just sprouted would it be ok to put it under the hps? or should i wait till it gets a little bigger so it wont strech so much?

any one got ideas?...

O and btw im using the box under my sink as a veg room when i put these girls into flower mode.

thanks for the comments any advise is more then welcome more pics to come!!!!!!!!

i will take pics after there first full night of 6 hr sleep!

yeah you can throw it right under the hps or just keep it under the cfls your choice. you can keep your hps relatively close as long as you have a fan (just a small house fan will do) blowing across the light and tops of plants. By keeping the light closer you wont have to worry about the plant streching so much.

as long as the air humidity and the temp is fine you can use the HPS,

with the HPS they won't strech anyway how the streching is not depending on how far away from the lamp, it's depending on how much light they get and with the HPS even on 2.5 feets a little seedling that still doesn't need that much light is not gonna strech...
for shure than closer than more light, and more light means faster growing, but very small seedlings still can't use that much, and it's recomandable to use a litte more distance to the HPS just for safety...

depends on how many watts your light is. if it is a 150 they will stretch unless the light is decently close, 400 or better and you should be set from a foot or more.

we are talking about a 400hps little more than a foot is usually best wihout a cooltube, at very beginning if you use it from seed usually the first few days you don't use it this close, and bring it closer every day during a week till it's at a little more than a foot, at least this is how some friends of me do it how and I did it at my last grow...

this time I startet with some big CFL's but plants are a little streching...

with my HPS from the beginning but the first time not to close there was no streching at all...

I've heard the same however, we are using a 400w/hps (no cool tube) for our grow and we keep the light as close as 5 inches at times with no signs of over heating.

i dont plan on putting my light that much closer the teps at the top of the plants is about 80F. with just a house fan blowing on the tops and no vents in the box yet.

update coming soon.
