Ive bought over 1000 pallets of ocean over the years, never had any problems. Imo its the grower not the soil that causes the problems.

Also when mixing fresh pot I use happy frog dry fert 5-5-5, which works good , looks like fish food!

One grower here at RIU in particular, who uses OF exclusively and has been growing indoor and outdoor for over 30 years has had the same issues -- as well as many other experienced growers as of late -- definitely not grower's error in these cases. Whether it's shipping or storage or something with FF, you shouldn't be so quick to write something off just because you haven't experienced it.

1000 pallets is a lot of soil to never have 1 problem, odds are I would have had an issue by now. Soil doesnt sit around long out here, that might be why. There is always fresh soil being delivered, if any thing they have a hard time keeping it in stock. The problem could lie in using old soil that has been stored improperly

That makes sense because it does seem like many of us having issues with it are out here in the Midwest -- not a lot going on during the long winter months either so it's definitely not flying off the shelves for a good portion of the year.
