I just started flowering like 4 days ago and these green pistils started growing out of the nodes. I hope it's not what i think it is

those are new leaves that will grow into new branches.

I think its still too early to tell. With Males, you're looking for little balls to start growing. Someone who is more of an expert could tell you more.

oh and this was my last seed so how could i save the strain to continue using it. could i only keep the strain if it was male? btw its an early misty strain from nirvana

There is no sign of male or female, ur looking for small white hairs in between ur node and stock to indicate its female, if it is male it will start growing a ball with no hairs give it a couple of days and if it grows more than one 1 ball its male

Shouldda cloned it last week (b4 you went 12/12)
Best get on that, for best results. There's plenty of info on where to cut on RIU.

yea h dude i almost hurt my eyes looking for balls.... thats just new growth..

and im pretty sure you can still clone it ... it has no signs of flowering yet...it will soon tho...

i had a bushy ass bagseed sativa that didnt show flowers for like 2 weeks...

No point cloning if it's a male. If so you could grow it out and save some pollen. Then pollinate a female in the future, save half the strain anyway.

i would not trim too many at all they are the powerhouse for your plants, but a couple should be okay.

You mean this plant?

You can re-veg it after harvest. Leave wee bit bottom growth and return to 24/0 lighting, or whatever you use. DON'T OVER-WATER. Doesn't use much now. I don't water until damn near parched (1st time)
Takes a while . . . after new growth good, fert w/balanced.
