yeah they seem to be enjoying themselves :) i pulled about a half dozen out and put them in my 15g that's in flower. there's a few earthworms in there too. got another 15g that's going in flower today that i'm gonna throw some worms in as well.

heyhey Shluby, I've been moving house so I'm not around much these days..
Nice home you've set up for your worms in the meantime! :blsmoke:
moving??? that doesn't sound like fun! like rearranging moving, or relocating moving?

well actually, it would be fun -- IF I had all the time in the world to get it done.
I do love creating functioning systems and setting up house is just that ;)
It's relocating - just across the street from where I lived before, but also reconfiguring - not just interms of repurposing furniture, but adapting the space to my lifestyle, like by making half the kitchen space my gardening/painting area :D
cheers!

I keep a bowl in the kitchen for scraps. My worms are in one of those soil mixers now.
yeah i have a big stainless mixing bowl in my kitchen for scraps (and a seperate smaller bowl for coffee grounds) that is on my counter all the time. my cats love to chase the fruit flies that hang around the scrap bowl lol. they can make a damn mess sometimes chasing those bastards

haha!
well I don't have cats to keep entertained lol
I always freeze the fruit scraps, so fruit flies don't even happen for me. ;)
I'm currently conceiving a "resource collection system" that will get the diverse "waste" materials sorted for further use. So when it comes to feeding, everything will be there, ready to get mixed up. I'm really excited about it actually haha

oh boy oh boy... get to see the girls tomorrow for the weekend!!!! gonna be transplanting 4 x con cheese into their final resting places :)

i'm gonna do a trial run because @greasemonkeymann got me curious about containers.... so my transplants will be going into 4 different containers.

1 x 7.5gal fabric
1 x 10gal fabric
1 x 7 gal plastic (if i have one will sub a 5 gal if i don't)
1 x 10 gal plastic

i will veg them for a couple weeks and they will get hooked up to the blumats when they get moved to flower.

It's fun being gone for 4 days and then coming back to see the growth. the gorilla glue i stuck into flower about 12 days ago exploded last week... can't wait to see her now!

I'm also going to be doing some biochar charging and getting some char worked into my soil and then i'll do an experiment with 2 tests and 2 controls with the EXACT same mix except for the biochar. i wish i could do 4 and 4 but i just don't have the plants right now.

anywho, pic of the con cheese @ 49ish days coming over the weekend. not sure if they're gonna make it to 63 days or not, guess we'll see how they look when I get back.

as always thanks for stoppin by, and bud porn coming soon

cool lil experiment with the containers man
if you are vegging for a couple weeks I bet the 7 gal plastic one does the best
also it's cool cuz you can cram more of those underneath your light too
10 gals are great for trained plants that veg a lil while, better yields but slower turnaround
for me I had to calculate on a year yield basis, rather than harvest yields
mainly because for two months I can't have a flowering room cuz that room doubles as an outdoor cure shed

I always veg after transplant. They need
Time to move into the soil ya know? 2-3 weeks, never more than 4.

I like them transpiring heavily when they enter bloom, and the only way is the let them get the roots going for a couple weeks after transplant!

Looking forward to the trial run. My hypothesis for this strain is since it runs 8-9 weeks, so i dont think ill see much variance in yields.

Now my 11-12 week i think would be the strain to do this experiment with as well, as the larer pots would carry them the distance

ah, I misunderstood you, so how long do you typically vege for?
seeds or clones?
I find a good month or 45 days (after cloning trans) is perfect, but thats more because I have to sorta time them right to match my long flowering sativa mixes
my seeds I like to go a bit longer

I run all clones currently. Generally from the cloner into quart for ~ 2 wks, then => 1gal for 2-3 wks, => 7-10 gal for 2-3 wks, then to flower if everything flows right that is :)

nice!
that's very similar to what I do
from the 1 gals to either the 5 or 7
although this next run is alllll gonna be smaller 2 gals, gonna see what I can do with that
got a bit of a logjam with my genetics right now, need to clear some space, so some are gettn flowered in less than optimal conditions

This GG#4 is about 12ish days into flower and is really putting on the size. Stalks sturdy as all hell. She's bushing out just like i planned and gonna be a Beaut.

This Brainwreck is about a week into flower and starting to put on some nice growth..... curious if the new growth has a yellow appearance or if it's just outgrowing itself...

And the last week for the four Confidential Cheese in flower. They're about about 47ish days here. gonna take them at 55 or 56. Man I CAN'T WAIT for smell-o-vision. This is probably the best smelling herb I've ever grown. Tart, sweet, sour, grape, berry, very light cheese undertone.... WOW.

That concludes the weekend update. Still gotta transplant those four cheese in veg to do the container challenge with blumat application.

As always thanks for stopping by, and anyone is welcome to say hi anytime they like! :peace::peace::peace::peace::peace::peace:

Transplants complete.

1 x 7 gal fabric; 1 x 10 gal fabric, 1 x 5 gal plastic, 1 x 7 gal plastic. All Confidential Cheese from the same batch of clones.

May the best container win (results rank = highest yield). Any predictions on which will have the best yield? Will be vegging ~3 weeks and then flipping, and running them 56 days in flower.

Transplant2.jpg Transplant1.jpg

My guess is there will not be enough difference to warrant using 10gal fabric for an 8 week strain. I think it would make the difference for the longer running strains that take 10+ weeks. So I'm hypothesizing that the 7 gal fabric or 7 gal plastic is going to be the winner for this particular strain.

If you would be so kind to entertain a few questions..? What are your companion plants, a chive? If so do you find they help with pests? Is that wormwood (2nd to last pic in veg room)? And finally is that a roomba vac under the one fiber pot?

Thanks

Haha no thats an upside down drip pan!! Just tryin to get the plant a few inches closer to the light with that big bush being next to it.

Those companion plants are just volunteer barley seeds that got mixed in with my mulch on accident. Ive been clipping them and puttin the clippings in the worm bin. EDIT: i have read several times that onion, garlic are good companion plants for cannabis though

And the veg room pic is dill weed! Been trying to get some herbs and stuff in there. Somehow my cilantro didnt sprout (which seems crazy to me cause its practically a weed outdoors), and something chomped my lettuce (thinking the rogue mouse ive seen evidence of).
