Can you all locate any links to an article on humans being insulated from the ground? I tried googling for it but didnt have any luck... Seems to make sense considering we evolved mostly barefoot walking on the earth

I suppose what I'm trying to get at is,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,the life span of most cannabis plants is so short that any usual benefits of grafting would be totally outweighed by the stress(and recovery) of the actual process.

That was my thoughts, in regards to plant count and having room. One momma in a long term veg to pull clones of various strains. Lol. 1 mom, one rooting clone, one vegging, 3 in various stages of flower = 6 legal plant count for one person, or double that for two in CO. Every 3-4 week harvest of diff strain each time. I like a variety to choose from. Really just curious, could be interesting. In the end though, great fire weed is all that matters. Lol

I'll try to locate something on it this week. I'll be sure to tag you when I find something. Not sure if there is any primary research on it or not.

This product looks pretty legit. Gonna look into it a bit more, but very well could increase microbial diversity of indoor soils. and I'm not one to go out and pick up a microbial inoculant other than myko products.

I'm gonna be looking for some research regarding increase terpene expression correlated with microbial mutualism. I'll report back on this when I find something.

Over that time you've had her was there any specific thing that helped her stay healthy long term. IE size of pot, certain amendments added to the soil or such? I've only ever grown from start to finish, but I'd like to develope a perpetual grow in the next crop or two. I'm trying not to learn that method the hard way. Lol.

Cannabis plants have been grafted to various hops and vice versa its been done many times. If I remember correctly the hops grew normal hops on the pot plant but the pot branch produced little to no thc when grafted to hops

if you had a no-till container, like 20 gal of good living soil, and cared for it well, you'd have no issues at all my man... other than keeping up with her haha. lots of haircuts

@ShLUbY got a few questions and need some advice. If you were in my situation what would you do: I have three 3 gallon smart pots filled 2/3rds of the way two females one male. The male has some double serrated leaves and I’m thinking about crossing it with the other Madcap. However space is cramped and being in those smaller pots I’m afraid that I won’t yield as much. I’m watering 32oz’s every other day on one of the females and 16oz every couple days with the other female. I’m wondering if I should say fuck the male and transplant the two females into 5gal smart pots. Maybe do the whole have plants on top of pumice to wick up the water, the same method as yours. Roots are already coming out the bottom, like they are ready to expand. My space is 18”x35”x60” not to mention the air filter on top which is about 6inched wide. I’m not hard up for Seeds, and honestly I have never tried Madcap of any of the strains crossed to make it. I just don’t want it to become a jungle, then start having high humidity issues and pests, ya dig? What do you think?

I would definitely transplant. unless you are growing really small plants, I would never flower anything in less than 5 gallons of soil.

I mean if you're not hurting for seeds, and you're focusing on yield... yeah ditch the male.

the pumice sips work amazing man. I've been really satisfied with them. you may have noticed I have a side by side PSIP vs topwater going right now (update coming soon @ two weeks into flower). Just make sure you have the pumice in direct contact with the soil, that will provide the best wicking action.

I'm not sure where you're from but here in the midwest, high humidity is almost impossible this time of year haha.

I've been puzzled by this myself...throughout the whole start of my grow up until maybe two weeks ago I had to fight to keep my humidity above 45 running my humidifer 24/7...now I'm not running it at all with it barely getting below 50% ever. Average RH in the house used to be like 28-30%, now its 46% in the house and 54% in the tent. Why does the weather want to troll me I could have used all this humidity in veg lmao

I kept the plant in a warm area and fed it well. When I trimmed it I left much of the lower growth and the main trunk.

We had a string of mild winters, which also helped.

A couple good podcasts I listened to lately

Cannabis research with Dr. Allison Justice. This woman is doing what I wish I was doing... quantitative cannabis research! I make it sound fancy, but it really isn't, i just couldn't think of a better way to describe it. She just uses a scientific approach to questions industry "standard" practices. I look forward to more of her work in the future.

Did you cut the bottom of the smart pots out? Roots are growing through the bottom.

no i put the pumice right in the bottom of the pots on mine. then the soil on top. set them in a drip tray and filled the tray with water. made sure my pumice was tall enough that the soil would not sit in water directly
