I’m gonna post my set up here soon . I was wondering if product is trim can I just extract all the Kief and winterize it in ethanol . I got a -80c freezer will send pics soon

You must use heat is a spd. You need to keep the head hot to keep the disty flowing or tou get a clog in the head and very bad things happen.

Also, a heat gun helps keeps things moving as well.

Hot con tek is different. You run 150c heater temps vs 80c normal heater temps. HTC uses different fluid and hoses capable of those temps.


I'm all over with 1 user name. I dont hide the fact I'm an asshole. Proud to be one, but I know what I'm doing to justify being an asshole.

I read a lot of your stuff. You’ve helped a lot thus far fam. I ditched the Rosin chase after MUCH research. Working on starting a grow now and mainly researching distillation before we order our fractioning column. SO much to do, SO little time. The nugs keep me company.

Lower vac = lower bp (boiling point) of said crude.

Means you can get fractioning off at a lower temp, saving your extract from turning from precious thc to cbn (cbn = sleepy time).

What temps are at your head whem Your pulling 6 microns? Also im assuming thats a 5 liter setup correct? I cant seem to get below 200 microns with my setup. The pump says its capable of pulling below 50 but im yet to see it. I may be upgrading to what you have.

You have a vac leak, or your vac pump is not capable of handling your spd.
