Short Plants...

Just wanted some input on my plants...

Most pics I see of plants at a similar age (3-4 weeks) seem to be much taller than mine are.

They look healthy and are growing pretty quick, but instead of getting taller, they just keep growing new shoots one right after the other.

Should I pull the lights farther away or will they start to stretch with age?

cut the bottom 3 nodes so the plant can send its energy to the top nodes...
thats if you want to... but from the looks of your set up it seems you know what you are doing.
They are all indica right?
What kind of light you have ?

In the last couple days they have actually started shooting up... like an inch a day at least. Actually hit my lights with two of the plants and got a tiny bit of burn.

They are all hybrids but mostly indica dominant.

I have them under three sets of 4 bulb 4ft t5's right now, keeping them just a couple inches away from the tops. I have two 600w HID lights that I will transition to soon though as the plants are starting to spread enough to need a bit more than the t5's can give. I'm getting 28000 lumens at the top of the plants but that drops quickly near the bottom of the plant. I'll probably go to MH this week.

What are you feeding them?
I'm using the Lucas formula with GH nutes.

I started out with only about 400 ppm for the first couple weeks and bumped it up to 800ppm last week. They seem like they are getting plenty of nutes as far as leaf color and growth, but since this is my first grow, I questioned speed of growth for the first couple weeks, but now they seem to really be taking off.

I've been pretty good about monitoring my PH levels keeping them around 5.8 with a slight variance from day to day.

I actually FIMed several of them yesterday figuring that now would be the best time and since they have starting moving up quickly over the last several days.
