shortening flowering time by reducing amoutn of hours in day?

if i flower my plants 10 hours lights on 10 hours off, thereby making a 20 hour day instead of 24, would my plant flower faster? i know i would need a special timer to do this.... but this could possibly shave 2-3 weeks of flowering time? anyone ever tried it or have any idead about this?

Yea, it would. But its messing with the plants natural day cycles. You are better off doing 13 hours dark, 11 light. That would decrease flowering time. But note : you will loose yield.

but a plant grown indoors only knows the daylight cycle you make for it, for example 24 hour light during veg is also messing with its daylight cycle, but lots of people still do it without any problems!

i was thinking the 10/10 would flower faster, and not yeild less like doing 13/11 or something

I wouldn't, you have waited this long. You may as well keep going 12/12 and get the good yields. You can even go for 12.5 hours light and 11.5 hours dark to improve yield.
