I actually never transplanted due to it being a mephisto autoflower. They always seem to grow decently after about 2 1/2 weeks but the first 2 weeks are normally like this. I feel like they seem to be growing slow compared to other mephisto journals but maybe they are just lying or forgetting their timeline. It’s fine if you go by weight
You transplanted to soon now you have to wait on roots to spread
Thanks for the suggestions. They are actually sitting on wire racks so I don’t really think the floor temp has any affect but i am not sure. I will try watering less. Although i think at this point these plants are starting to get comfortable so i will probably try that out on the next batch instead.Water less then
Your floor temps may have changed
I don’t no where you are located but soil temps in lights off on a rack or not can vary in colder regionsThanks for the suggestions. I actually have never checked the soil temperature. The one thing is i only have lights off for 3 hours but the swings could cause stress causing a slow down i guess. The only thing is the top of the promix gets bone dry within a day and a half while the pot has still has a decent amount water weight. I only have 1 fan on the floor so maybe i should get some hanging fans instead as the air flow down low might be causing it to dry on top quicker.I don’t no where you are located but soil temps in lights off on a rack or not can vary in colder regions
Have you ever checked soil temps ?
I have used heating mats on concrete floors for that reason
70 f is optimum
The top drying is normal you don’t have enough root base to water so muchI actually have never checked the soil temperature. The end
But you seem set on resolving a nonissue
Good luck
I can’t fix issues that aren’t a problem
Hey, i just thought about this but i am trying to grow organically in the pro mix hp kind of like a living soil. Was it a bad idea to let it dry out so much because it killed the beneficial organisms? I noticed my new growth seems to be more yellow than the old. Don’t wait for the pot to be fully dry before watering it… you’ll need to water it every 3-4 days about 250ml at this stage. Then at around 10-14 days go with 500ml per 3-4 days. Build up to around a 1/5th of your pot size in water. So 5 gallon give 1 gallon etc. You don’t want your soil drying out before it’s been rooted! It needs to be kept ideally within a certain moisture windowThank you guys for your suggestion. I will try spraying the top to make sure it doesn’t get really dry and keep checking the weight.
If you're doing the organic thing it's best to keep the soil moist all the time. A mulch layer would help too so it doesn't dry out as fast.Hey, i just thought about this but i am trying to grow organically in the pro mix hp kind of like a living soil.
