Should I be bubbling my water?

I hand feed Rockwool cubes and looking at other hydro methods, people seem to use bubblers.

So should I be? I usually mix up 22 litres at a time now my plants are in their 6inch hugos. I usually leave the water to stand for a day for the chlorine to evaporate as ive heard that can be benefitial.

What do you do?

I personally use an R/O filter and am running DWC.
Now for your water some people do attach aeration (air-pump,etc) but that's just to speed up the evap of chlorine, you can let your sit and it should be fine. I also hope you checked your local water report to see the composition of your water because if there is chloramine in it then that bubbling is gonna do squat.

Never heard of flooming before. So basically you recirc the reservoir once every 15 minutes (pump runs for say 5 minutes at a time) for example? Have I got that right?

I like the cooler idea!

The on/pause time will have a lot to do with how quickly your pump heats the water- shorter periods are recommended

Always aerate mixed nutrient solution to prevent anaerobic bacteria growth.

If your rockwool can drain at the bottom and isn't sitting soggy and stagnate at the roots you don't need to aerate . Assuming the rockwool Isn't compressed, I.e. You squeezed it too much. If I was to hand water rockwool that was sitting on a flat surface I'd put something under the pot to elevate it to allow drainage. Rockwool, unless badly compesssd, retains a lot of oxygen, and water trickling through it gains oxygen. It's a great medium to grow in

Huh i'm also only using a small submersible pump to mix the nutrients for a few minutes every 2 hours (to keep the temps low) testing this on a beefstake tomato and its really working well, pearly white roots after 3 months.. no aeration at all..
