Should I be sorry too?

I had a paper cut across my cornea placed by my little one, so, when I read this, I pee'd my pants just a little. The Doc said, "The good news is the eyeball is the fastest healing organ".
I was 95% better after 2 days but Dayum!
Here's to healing up in time for your trip.View attachment 3578622
Dude I knew in my trade was a nailbanger carpenter before switching over to drywall/lath. While he was a nailbanger apprentice though, he was pounding duplex's into forms when one of the nails came back and hit him in the eyeball. He said he didn't feel anything, but felt for it and it was stuck in his eye!
He pulled it out, and it oozed some shit out. Fucked up man. We called him popeye

Saw the aftermath of a guy who lost his eye by another guy 'pranking ' him by coming up behind him, calling his name, then blasting him with air out of an industrial setup. Frigging freaky how that shit just hangs there once popped out.

When I got a metal shaving in the eye from a grinder once and waited until the next day to have it removed they had to cut it out because of the regeneration speed of the eye.

Lesson learned.

Next grinder sliver I took to the eye was instantly removed via magnetic
retrieval tool.

Your very welcome.

Yeah, that sucks man.
When we get em in the eye, they are spiral pieces. Shavings from screwing self tappers into steel studs and other shit.
When I was younger I was stupid. Would hardly ever wear safety glasses. Had metal in my eyeballs countless times.

I've scratched my eyes twice on branches and trees outdoors at night, walking and biking. Maybe no worse than the tap of a baby fingernail, but it still was horrible and you guys are talking about metal chunks and losing eyeballs. all good reminders on the importance of sufficient safety gear

I have had a guy shove his finger through my eyelid all the way to the back of my eveball.
on the way through the lid is stretched the tendon or whatever so my lid dropped like a stroke patient for a month or some shit.
the actual poke hurt pretty good also.
I was on his back and he reached behind like an idiot to grab my head.
he won
