should I be worried?

I have a few plants that are about 3 weeks old and are very top heavy and offen find I have to prop them up with kebab skewers, how can I over come this or will they sort them selves out?.. Logic would suggest leave mother nature do her work but I'm giving them more light and nutes than nature intended please help me.. Ps. Once I've worked out how ill upload a pic

sounds like your light might be to far away from your plant tops. If that's the case, move it as close as you can get it without burning the plants.

I haven't put a fan in yet due due to concerns.. My light (250w cfl) is only bout 8 inches shy of ma plants, although it is a cool cell (blue spec)maybe it could be a little closer?

get it as close as you can. my t-5 bulbs hang 2 inches above my plant tops. Just make sure the heat isn't too much for them. And dark destruct is right, you need to get a fan on those plants. Not only does that increase co2 availability, it also helps plants become more sturdy

that plant looks good, just get a fan on her, and move the light as close to her as you can

u need a fan lightly blowing over it to strengthened up the stalk and branches as they develop so they can support the flower development. get a better light or move it a lot closer or u'll have tall lanky skinny plants that produce nada.

How do I know if I'm too close cuz I really don't wanna burn her/them
put your hand under your light. Is it hot? if not move it closer. Once your hand is uncomfortable under the light, you know to put your plants just a tad bit farther than your hand. After moving your light, check on them in about an hour, if they are getting to hot, they will tell you, then all you have to do is move the light up a small amount until they are comfortable. learning the language of the plant is priceless.

lower the light down to about four inches above them with a fan gently blowing over the plants. in two days maybe lower it a tiny bit more unless they've grown some.
