on potting my cuts on to the big pots (i use autopots) i made the mistake of not ph ing the first light feed i gave them due to being able to use the tap water at my last grow, i am now only a mile away from there and just assumed i would be good with the same feed/water i would have used last time. anyway they struggled from the off and yellowed and some leaves even crisped, at first it wasn't obvious to me what was the matter as some of them had black spotted leaves some were just yellow others leaves crisped as i said so i couldn't see a uniform issue/deficiency, so after foiler feeding formulex and trying epsom and all sorts i was stumped and it was after 3 weeks of struggling it finally dawned on me to ph the water (i know it's obvious with hindsight) turns out its not around 6 like it was 1 mile up the road but nearly 8!..anyway i flushed them with water ph'd to 5.7 and after about 5 litres run through them the run off was down to under 6 so i gave them 500ml of light feed at 5.7 and have left them to it for last four days..
they are coming round and there is good new growth tips on them all in fact the new tips are growing well but of course the rest of the leaves on some are in bad condition , others are not too bad with only some damaged/ yellowed leaves, in general they are getting greener and it's plain they are happier, the trouble is they had nearly a month of little growth and general bad health and although i have now just topped the taller ones they are all nothing nothing like what i would usually have at this point and i am wondering if i am better just to bin them rather than carry on and risk a poor yield..
any advice or thoughts welcome

not sure i'm in the right section but i posted here as i am using coco/autopots

thats up to you....if your not in flower yet just add some veg time and all should be good to go. if your into flower then the question would be how much time do you have, starting over with nothing or finish them out and don`t make the same mistake on the next run. make sure you cut away the dead leaves if you continue with them it`ll help the plant recover.

thanks for the reply, they are still in veg and only been in the big pots just over 4 weeks and there has been little growth in that time, i'll give them a week then and see where they are but i could have started from seed and had bigger better plants in the same amount of time i have spent on these had i not made such a basic error.. my worry is whether the damage is done so to speak and i will be messing with none too healthy plants all the way to a poor yield when for the sake of the few weeks lost by starting again. I have not had any this unhealthy looking before so don't know if it's possible to bring them round to the point they give a good yield, have you any thoughts or experience on this point?

if the others you had were the same strain you could compare that but if their not, then your not going to see the same growth rate. just cut out the dead stuff and see where it goes.
like greenlikemoney said pics would help. but at the end of the day are they bad enough for you to give up 4 weeks plus of your grow area.
yield is a tricky thing to start with, there are a lot of variables that can give different results. i would focus on having the healthiest plants i could have and they will in turn give you the best they can for you have done for them.

Bin as toss them in a trash bin? I doubt that would be very helpful in growing. You can bind them if you mean oe what is known as LST them if you want. If they had the bad ph and damage going I wouldnt have topped them until they were back green and unstressed as your pushing for hermies if you keep stressing them so much so young.

i'm afraid i had meant bin them as in pull them and they would go in my compost bin , i have never done this as yet and it's not something i particularly want to do but i am prepared to cut my losses and start again rather than struggle with unhealthy and slow growing plants and end up with a poor result..i have only topped the healthiest plants as they were getting away from the others and for some reason have got abit leggy (i have dropped the lights a little as it's not a lights off temp issue)..they range from a leggy 14/16" tall to a few under 6" with varying degrees of yellow and crisping leaves to a couple that are reasonably green again so i am dealing with them individually for now ..i'll look into the posting pics process to see if i am able to do it as i am not exactly computer savvy ..
what is lst them?
