Should I buy these led panels for side lighting in my GL40 tent?

Hey guys,

I was thinking maybe I should get some side lighting for my Scrog/LST 5 Gal Hydroponic GL40 Tent Grow (1 HUGE ASS MOTHER FUCKING PLANT I WANNA GROW).

As I said im using a 5 Gal Hydroponic setup in a Growlab GL40 tent (about 1'4"x1'4"x4'). You see i'm trying to do some crazy shit and get a good 250-300grams out of it (im growing big bang). So what do you guys think?

No. Take that money and buy you a HID.

Those LED's are not effective. You need to find a light where each diode is 3w or more. Put simply, there is no light that will actually work that is dirt cheap. Be careful when you see stuff like that, it needs to be advertised by wattage, not the amount of leds. 900 diodes pushing .02 amps....your plants wouldn't react to it whatsoever.

i agree i bought 4 on the led panels and they were absolute shit, did fuk all and the leds dont work all the time cause there cheap i threw mine away after 4 weeks cause my plants died, like well diced said save ya money and buy something decent!!!

If you're looking to seriously invest in LEDs I'd start with GrowLEDhydro, AdvancedLED, Kessil, and Blackstar. There are more out there, but those are 4 reputable companies with proven results. Definitely a good place to start.

Your better off buying another CFL or, as welldiced said, an HID with your money. I use LEDs myself and am not convinced that that sort of panel will have any effect what so ever when there are any other lights present.

Which LED are you using?

led's are a waste of money. dont listen to virulient, he's a ho.

theres a brillaint thread in the advanced growing section on led's most people think leds are crap because A) they havent tried it or B) they didnt research n bought shit leds.

led does work but it pays to know what ur looking for.

this was recommended to me from some knowledgeable led guys. its for flowering. theres actually some vids on that ebay link aswell thatll teach u about led.
