Should I cut the cheese?

I have 2 BBBC and will be taking clones. I was looking at topping which I usually do with other strains and using these for the clones. I saw where they recommended not to. Opinions please.

the only reason your not supposed to is because the thicker the stem the longer it takes to root (9/10 times).thin-stem offshoots work best for me.(i use an aerocloner) just my 0.02 cents.
