Should I feed my young plants

Abstract

My plants started having some health problems. Their growing in a dresser i carved out in my attic. Heat is a lil high. Slowly though all my plants are getting health problems. I can see problems in the leaves. Burnt tips, one is plant the leaves are curling up, red stems, brown spots, yellowing of leaves, one has like light green or yellow lines and some circles on the leaves. I am wondering if they need nutrients even if they are only about 2 weeks old, but I don't want to nute burn them. Also I am using Miracle Grow Organic Soil. Would it be ok to give them the nutes it looks like they need or would it be best to just wait it out.

check the ph of the soil, should be around 6.5. then flush with water, or flora kleen.

I got a ph tester from lowes, seemed like it might not of worked because i didn't notice the needle move at all from its original spot, which was like at 7. the probelm could be like fungi or w/e cause i found two mushrooms in my plants so far, and since my soil is organic i noticed a couple of lil flies like knats. Those are other possible reasons why my plants may be having problems. I just gotta fan to move the air around, n gonna let the soil dry out n then water it good. hope it works.

Please let me know if you have any luck with that thing, I've been considering one forever but don't want to waste money on a gimmick that is just a lie. I have a chemical tablet test kit that seems to work perfectly (that is, if MG potting mix is around 7 PH when watered with distilled) and all my other nutes in it are spot on.

I too have noticed the tiny tiny gnats, only one or two or three of them among my 6 plants, skimming super close to the soil... I was told that these are like sea monkeys and they live in soil waiting to hatch and just do and move on and that they aren't harmful. Houseflies (green or black) also aren't harmful except for that they can spread bacteria and stuff. If you have a few flies in a dry house and water plants sometimes every fly in the house will find the moisture right away.

Oh well a little verbose maybe, just trying to be helpful.

I got one of those PH meters too, I'll let you know how it works. I have soil I PH'd with a chemical kit that is nearly dead 7 so I have a benchmark for experimentation.

If you are using MG potting soil the PH will be like right at 7 because the soil is balanced for it... ideally you want 6.5 but I don't think half a point of PH is worth the mistake you (or I) might make trying to fix it... mine seem to be flourishing at 7.

What is yor drainage? What r this mussrooms doing there ?I grow on organic but everything seems fine , only lil spots on leaves...barely using nutes...If it's your first grow don't jump on nutes...it takes time to know what to do..I grow for first time keeping the nutes as minimum and I'm pleased with my baby sofar ;) but take care!

The mushrooms won't cause plablems. Keep plucking them and they will go away. As for the flies, if you have fungus gnats, you had better get rid of them early. Though the damage is usually minimal, they are a real pain once they start laying eggs.

1 - you can feed your seedlings once you germ them with some B-1 Thrive , its all organic and you can't kill your seedlings with it and you can use it right up to harvest
