should i flower?

ok new to the game and i need to know if i should flower yet.someone told me i should but as always im going to make sure its the right thing to do.please let me know what you think....here are some pics

The problem is if you keep growing taller, your CFLs wont penetrate as far, the best CFL yields I have seen were flowered very young. Remember your going to get a lot of growth once you flip to flower.

I would switch any time you feel like it, if your not waiting to clone her go for it. I would get a bunch more CFLs tho, or grab some cheap 150w HPS from home depot.

i do want to clone it but im not sure when and exactly where to take the cutting from.i dont want to just start cutting away at it.i was thinking about takeing a cutting and putting it under 12/12 to try and sex it early.what do you guys think

Take clones, flower the mother it will be faster. Man if you get some bigger lights she will show preflowers soon enough.

When taking clones you always want to use shoots. Shoots grow off of the main stem, they always grow out of the corner of the stalk and a fan leaf.

You want a nice shoot, with 2 split leafs at the top, at least 3-4 inches, although I have clones premature 1-2 inch shoots before.

Cut off the cutting, remove everything but the top 3rd of the cutting, just the top 2 or 3 leafs, dip the cutting in rooting gel, stick it in a rockwool cube, and put it in a humidity dome.

It's not big enough to where I'd even take clones yet.

Grow that longer, then take clones when it's twice that size, then let it get bigger again, then flower.

If you were using better lights it would be the size it is now at a week or two, not a month and a half. Not trying to diss, she looks nice, I'm just saying...

The 150w econolights for $20 are always a good place to start, that gets you in HPS growth rates cheaper than imagineable.

Hint: at this moment if you call them and say you couldn't place the order online I heard this guy yesterday got automatic free shipping because online entering didn't work and because he was a new customer.

dude what I do is i go to any grocery store or somewhere where they sell those visa gift cards and use that. i used that when i ordered seeds online too it worked just fine

Check your phonebook, under hydroponics, and nursery you would be surprised how many grow shops there are, and if theres no hydro shops chances are there is a plant Nursery stocking up on hydro supplies to take advantage of all those customers, just call around.

Even Homedepot, Lowes, any hardware store will have a lighting section, Usually what you want to look for at Hardware store is outdoor lighting, flood lighting. Just make sure its HPS. You should easily be able to find a 150w HPS kit at HD or lowes or a local hardware shop. It might require some really simple wiring, but nothing major.

1 or 2 HPS lights will greatly increase growth rates, she will start to bush out a lot more and produce more usable shoots.

If you've been growing her that long, under a bigger light she would start showing preflowers pretty fast, if shes a fem under an HPS she could be popping white hairs in as little as a few days.
