I'm on week 3 from seed and the first inch or so of soil (FF HF) is perdy dry. I was thinking of mixing up a very light (GH trio) feed with this watering. Can anyone take a look at these pictures and tell me if I should just give the PH water or if it's feeding time? These were taken yesterday right after i gave a little spritz of ph'd water for the leaves. 1186057_10206324635258948_2436060122152518299_n.jpg 12705759_10206324636818987_6159548420722685780_n.jpg 1186057_10206324635258948_2436060122152518299_n.jpg 12705759_10206324636818987_6159548420722685780_n.jpg

Mine are a 4 weeks and look completely different to yours ALOT bigger, I started adding nutrients at week 2. However I had some heating issues all throughout week 1 & 2 stunted their growth quite alot.

After introducing nutes they took off, they are in-comparable. In my opinion I would start adding nutrients now. :v

Just needs a tiny bit of root or micro feed

Maybe a week or 2 till you put it on 1/4 or 1/2 strength GH 3 way starting out the micro alone does well for rooting

I have a gallon jug of water made up and ready, how much micro should I add to a gallon of water? JUST micro then PH it? or should i throw a little thrive in there too?

Oh your using the bio range ?

about the only products of theirs I`ve not used

Nah I`d let it wait another week or 2 for the thrive its looks just a touch small for that but some people would risk it

I`d give around 300 to 500ppm of the micro, should be around 1 to 3ml per L

and I ph around 6 to 7 don`t find it as important in soil/coco as it is in hydro but over 6 and under 8 seems to get better results

Oh I like to always use wetting agent when dealing with soil/coco really makes a difference but a lot of foods have wetter in them

Well my water after boiling it and cooling it down is at about 180 ppm's alone. Should i pick up some store water?

180ppm should be fine, what's that? around 0.3 ec? I'd add nutrients equivalent to 0.4 and work your way up. start feeding pronto starting 1/5 strength, next watering up it to 1/4. next week 1/2 and so on. Some strains are heavy feeders, some not. find out the sweet spot for yours. It's good to stick to one specific strain and find out what works best for that specific pheno (:

edit: also you might benefit from some additives such as kelp to help with root development. it's upto you though. some say its beneficial, other people have mixed insights. imo I believe they help a great deal.
good luck with it all anyway bud :bigjoint:

180ppm`s is fine

I`ll use tap water that`s upto 500ppm with no worries

they say to consider about 50% of the "background" ppm`s in your tap water as available plant nutes

so you`ll want to add around 400ppm of the micro, I think that`s about 1ml per L but not used the micro in ages so I`d start with .5ml per L and test that

after giving it that for a week, I`d just move on to the full range at 1/4 strength, so around 700ppm then push it upto around 1200ppm by the end of veg, I know some people like to feed a bit less and some a bit more, normally depends on how the plants looking and what I have to feed them next, lol

Feisty1UR is right some seaweed or kelp or some natural pgr`s would help too, do you use any Mycor fungus stuff ?

That's a big pot for little plant, some strains grow much faster than others..it look good, I wouldn't feed, I don't feed til it shows me its hungry.. I bet you could water only 2 more times or 3 times before it need any food.. I can tell you are jonesing to feed it..it would not speed things up.. The roots are growing, the plant will speed up after the roots get bigger..force feeding won't help.

I go light spray setting. But I like to baby them. So mine grow 1' in an 18 hr run. I measured carefully. Started from seed. I did
