should i harvest

my plants started flowering 8 weeks ago today. sorry i cant get no pics but they look nice. i had a plant i was messing around with testing light distance and long story short burnt the shit out of it about 2 and a half weeks ago. it has alot of leaves that are brown and crispy and alot more falling off the bottom. i would put the hairs at about 85% brown mayby a little more, but the tricks are only about 85% cloudy and mayby one or 2 amber after scanning many buds. i know i shuold let it go but im worried some of the dead leaves i cant get out are going to begin to rot inside the buds and cause a bigger mess.
the genetics are bag seed and its a first grow. everything was going good till i got gready with the light haha. its a good leson learned though atleast it wasnt good genetics.
i really wish i could get some pics of the plants up basicaly any leaf on the outside of the plant is toast. but the inside leaves are green. i dont want to harvest earlie and lose alot of potency, but im not into the couch lock high and planed on harvesting at the first sign of amber trics.
i also dont want to end up with bud rot getting in my tent and taking my other 2 ladies.

Look at the trichomes through a magnifiying glass. if the majority of them are amber, your ready

i wish i could get a pic i really hurt this plant im suprised its made it this long. on top of it i left for a party at a camp ground this weekend and didnt have the ac on so it got way dehydrated. poor thing was wilted to beat hell i think thats what did in the already weak leaves.

looks like it. give her some water.

picked them didnt do to badly around 4oz dry from 3 plants. the smoke is ok but i wont complain for bag seed and first grow. got 6 barneys farm sweet tooth 1 white russian and 1 cronik in the ground all have poped through the dirt but one sweet tooth she should be up by morning. now i get to see if there is truely a diference between bag seed and solid genetics.
