Should I part-harvest my plant?

Hi,

First time grower here, using a south-facing windowsill, high up enough to be out of obvious view.

The plant, born on March 31st, has been a bit stunted. Thin branches ddue to lack of wind, a bug problem & maybe lack of nutrients have lead to pretty small buds forming, apart from the ones at the very top...

Question...

Should I wait a bit longer before harvesting or could I cut off the top buds & give the other, smaller buds, more time to grow?
The top buds have browner pistils while some of the smaller ones are still quite white in appearance.

That plant is, by all criterion, far short of harvest. Hairs are all white, trichromes are just starting to form on those. Good luck. Please be patient. Alot of weight sets in between the 4-6 week. Your plant was set back due to the stresses you mentioned. It will mature but you need to work on babying it to get it vigorous in order to finish strong. But no, its not ready.

Ah cool, that's good to know!!

I did check various sites with timetables & assumed, at first, that I was nowhere near harvest time.
Then I saw the top buds browning & got worried that I was gonna miss the optimum harvest point.

This is a better closeup...

I'm now feeding the plant, when dry, with water & Bio-Bizz added. I've read up on it & a little goes a long way.
Is there anything else I should be doing?

Thanks for you help & reassurance, folks!!

I use a digital microscope they are cheap on Amazon and you can see if tri's are amber or how close you are getting to being finished....
Then go buy smell they will get stinky the last 2 weeks..

The bud pistils can change due to handling or contact. They are sensitive to touch and will brown as quick as a sliced apple. Pistil color can be deceptive

Another question...

I've been reading that the lower buds on plants can restrict the full potential of the higher, end buds.
But, this only seems to be the case when the plant's so bushy that the lower buds are in partial shade.

My plant has several tiny buds along the full length of the plant but the whole plant gets equal sunlight as it's sat inside a tall window...

Because there are no shady areas at all should I just leave these buds to grow, or should I pick them off to allow bigger buds to flourish?
