Should I remove lower branches during flowering?

I am doing a simple, budget grow of one plant. First time....so anything I get out of it will be cool.

I am in the flowering stage and have noticed that the buds on the lower branches are not progressing like the rest of the plant. Not really even close.

Should I remove these so the nugs at the top of the plant will get more "juice"? Should I leave them?? I know I will not get much out of this plant...so I am cautious to remove anything now.

Also, "Claw" leaves....if the plant looks heathy and have been watching moisture content....Should I worry?

Thanks.

I don't like to cut anything after I hit week 2 in flowering. That's just me, some will tell you not to even do that. I would just bend the plant around some to try and get light to the lower branches....Good luck JR

Not all will be great to smoke, "larf" is what my peeps call it and it will usually end up in the cooking pile....JR

Will them staying around effect the potency of the top buds much?

Thanks for the tip. I was about to go hack away at it.

I usually cut those lil puny budsites off at the beginning of flowering. I'd just let em be this grow and throw it in with the trim if you make hash or canna butter.

i make my cuts before week 2 of flower..usually i prune once towards the end of veg (if i have or want to) then once the 1st week of flower or the start of week 2..and i dont cut much honestly..here ill show u..just enough to create airflow at the base of the plant and to focus more on top cola growth..THE LAST PIC IS THE "BEFORE" PIC

I don't trim anything unless the hedge gets to thick. If your plants have lots of room you are better off not to trim them at all.

actually u might be better off pruning..u can create more light for the buds, create better airflow, and redirect the auxi hormones to the tops of the plant..MOST growers prune

Thanks for all of the tips. I think I am going to let them just stay put and possibly keep them cooking a little longer after I harvest the top. If anything I can make some good herb butter with the little popcorn nugs.
