Should I remove the glass from my 150w hps light?

Happy Holidays everyone. I have a small grow box and I have a 150w floralux hps grow light. I am growing 2 autoflowers under it. I was wanting to know if I should remove the glass or leave it on? Or does it matter either way? any comments would be great.

If it's an air-cooled tube or hood and you are not sucking air through it to extract heat take it off.

You will gain some light efficiency.

But you'll also be more vulnerable to accidental breakage.
