yes most definately. first thing would be to purchase lady bugs or praying mantids, also safer makes caterpiller killer which shouldnt effect your beneficial insects. its always better to try a natural aproach since you can build up super bugs ( nasty bugs with a high tolerance or immunity to pesticides)

also if you diversify your outdoor garden and add veges and the like you can help to keep a pest problem in check, so the bad ones arent congregated on one source

Don't buy any benefical insects for an outdoor garden. Might need some chicken wire to fend off those squirrels. Or get some rattlesnakes and tie them to the stalks.
