Should i trim lower branches

I'd be more inclined to manage the leaves with ties or fold them behind the bud stems etc where possible.
Cutting healthy leaves is never a good idea. We should focus on whats good for the plants rather than convienient for us. She rewards us for that attitude at the end with zombie-making buds that blow a muthafucka's mind (throws a sign, not sure what sign, am a poor little white boy, so coolness is hard come by).

depedns on the situation. have you toped the plants at all lst anything like that. I always keep the bottom of the plant picked clean. it al depends on how you are growing them. if just a strieght run I would be sure to keep the bottom 6 inches (1/4 the hight)or so of the plant clean if the ar not gonna get light they arnt gonna help much. thats why you should have an even canopy

on your next grow figure on keeping your canopy (the tops where most light is absorbed) closer to the light source. but for this grow you can either:
a) harvest whole plant and use for kief the lower buds
b) harvest in two stages, letting the lower parts ripen a little more. they never make good buds and have less bag appeal. but remember it's the triches you're after not the bag appeal. my lower (popcorn) buds just got chopped up and i had the best kief from it. waste nothing.

Ya In some situations like if you use a screen I see the benefit of this.. But you have to understand lower branches can produce a lot of buds, mine are almost as big and has long as my top colas.. Plants will prune on there own real good. Without us messing with them... If I would get ride of my 6 inches from the bottom I would be missing 8 colas over 20 inches each.. and I'v seen a lot of waisted plants cause people think that lower buds are not worth it.. Mine are.. But I have to agree that it really does depend on each individual grow.

This is a real myth, Bottom branches do not have to be close to the lights to grow real big.. Just look at the outdoor biggest plant thread for proof. I agree exposer to light helps them thrive even more... But every time you start cutting branches trying to get more light, your hurting your plants over all health.. and slows growth down.. some plants respond better. Like I said some times its the only way,,

IM not here to argue with you. Outdoor grows are subjected to much better conditions where penetration is not an issue. You cannot compare outdoor and indoor that's silly Do what ever you wasn't I really don't care was just trying to help my lowest branches have always been even with the rest of the canopy but if you are just letting it grow your better off keeping the bottom trimmed up its worked extremely well for me for at least 15 years now but like I said I'm not here to argue I know what works. If you want to grow like that go right ahead I feel better knowing my plants arnt crowded,producenothing but huge buds and have good circulation. The question is, the bottom ifs to bushy t can I cut that off. 3 weeks into flower no energy has been lost yet and it will not stunt the plant at all.also wanted to add that my first second and third node make up 10_16 big Colas.it is when the plant is untamed that the bottom quarter become a problem

Well you got me on the 15 years of experience, I can't top that..
plants look good in pic i wouldnt cut them either i think my main problem is ive tried putting two in each farm and i didnt have enough space in width to seperate farms so there right next to each other ill leave them this time and see how it goes some of my side branches have gotten very thick suprised me allot should i bend big fan leaves back know or leave them, when i went down room tonight i noticed heat burn on one fan leaf at top of plant i moved light up quick not all leaf just middle hould i cut it out or leave it

If anything, do not trim those branches or leaves. Rotate the container once in a while. I use 22 gallon tubs for final flower. I rotate all but one regularly. Nice buds on my lower branches. However, I do weight branches down level too. Screw twine. Start at the bottom. I use "S" hooks and washers or spring clips or whatever will pull it level. A sharp bend will develop near the main stem in a few days. The branch will usually stay fairly horizontal at that point. Move the weights up higher until you have her trained and you will not believe the increase in your bud yield. I do this indoors but started doing it years ago outside when a wiser older guy told me why to not remove a leaf.

This is a controversial question. If you were to post pics of the branches in question that would help everyone here give you more accurate advice. But generally if your already 3 weeks into flower then your branches aren't stretching to much more and you have a good idea of the amount of light that is penetrating and reaching those lower branches. If they are receiving light then they will produce. If we're talking 2 or 3 inch little nothing branches that aren't getting light then it might be a good idea to trim those all off in order to concentrate the growth hormones towards the tops of the plants where all the magic is taking place.
