So I'm scroggin and I got two plants under a 6 sq ft screen (yea small I know they have it stuffed. They are in week 4 of flower and I haven't trimmed them yet, I was wondering if I should, it seems pretty crowded under the screen with foliage.

And yes this is my 1st grow it was more of a learning thing because I have some vegging in my dwc system now for when these are done.

Also, is there a *safer* way to post pics, or does everyone just use Tor. I've heard your personal info is stored in the digital photograph as well, makes sense.
I'd love to post pics just paranoid haha

I honestly dont think that there is people that are trying to gleen info from your photos on this site. Especially if its just a legal small medicle grow like mine.

i wouldnt trim. if any leaves start to die trim em off, but cutting off healthy, working leaves you will cause a metobolic imbalance and stress the plant. its like if you cut your stomake in half, you would never feel full or get proper nutrition.
leaves are batteries =]

^^^ What he said, minus the strange comparison to your stomach.

yeah that comparison is wrong anyways, reducing the size of your stomach makes you feel full quicker, thats how gastric bypasses work

and thts why ppl used to get brain damage and die from gastric bypass. brain starves to death from bad nutrition.(years ago of course)
but ne ways
yea i didnt type the comparison how i thought it, everyone does it once ina while haha
but the fact of trimming off healthy leaves just hurting the plant, very true.(unless you are pretty knowlegeable and are prunning, the RIGHT way)

Your analogy made sense to me. Refering to the health of the plant, not its preceived desire for food.

Why do I seem to see people trimming plants to make the plant focus on the top colas more? Many of the small branching buds are below the screen and therefore aren't getting a lot of light, i have a 600, but even that isnt enough penetration for big buds below the screen...

as i mentioned ina previous post, many people "prune" when scrogging. because yes, many of the lower branches arent getting enough light to produce big buds. but you dont want to go chop happy and give your plant a metobolic imbalance, hence lower hanging *Branches* will not produce good buds, but all those low hanging leaves are stored energy. search "prunning" and there are many threads showing how to efficiently prune off lower hanging branches W/O harming the plant much.
