Hey ppl. I'm new to this forum. I got a couple questions for ya'll experts. Should i trim this thing? It is starting to grow hairs everywhere. It will bud soon, i just don't know if i can/should trim all those damn fan leaves? I have had mixed feedback from friends and such. So i wanted to ask ppl from some place else. So what does everyone think? I attached some pictures for everyone to look at.

general rule of thumb is.......... dont ever cut fan leaves unless you must.(due to dying, insects, etc.) the fan leaves act as the "solar panels" of the plant. they absorb the most light, and thus transfer that light into energy (photosynthesis) that the plant uses. so therefore, we try never to cut them. also, during end stages of flowering, the plant will pull all life/energy stored in those fan leaves and put that energy into her flowers (buds). that being said, some people do trim bottom third of plant to allow ample air circulation and avoid "popcorn" buds..... good luck

Hey thanks fellas. Also, what is the hell is BT? I haven't had the budworm problem yet, but it sounds intimidating on my plants man. WTF? Oh another question. How does my plant look? I will post a close up.

personallly, i cut individual branches, then the main stem. so, i'll cut 1 branch full of buds at a time. cut that branch off plant. then you can work on it over a table or something. then trim all fan leaves, bud leaves, etc. so that only stem and buds are left. hang that to dry, then go to the next. it's easier to cut leaves off before you dry than after. after it's dry from hanging(when stems snap cleanly) it goes into mason jars to cure.

Should i be feeding it something? Bcuz i'm not. Thats all natural growth right there in those pictures. I have it surrounded by grass shavings, I was told this is good for the plant. Is this true? Fuck, there is much too learn isnt there?

Those are the greatest pictures neither. It is a little over 5 feet tall. It has at least 2 foot stems coming from the stem. Hell the stem is an inch in diameter. I had 2 plants, but the other one was all male(it had seeds growing already) so i ripped it out. Fuck that, i want lucious buds, not seed buds.

Just fyi, the male plants don't produce seeds, they produce pollen sacks, the females produce seeds, but only if you let them get pollinated. Your plants looks really green and healthy, i would just keep doing what your doing and not trim anything. You are probably going to want to start using a bloom fertilizer, just start with a really weak mix and slowly step it up, feed about once a week, but stop using fertilizer a couple weeks before you harvest so that you can flush the fertilizer out of the soil. Good luck, id like to see some fat nugs on that lady.

there are mainly 2 different types of commercial nutrients available. 1 is for vegitative growth, the other is for flowering or blooming. there are many many different brands and additional supplements too. but for now, you really only need a flowering fertilizer. try foxfarm's tiger bloom.... it works great

Males produce pollen sacks that pollinate females to create seeds. ;-)

Nice plant. Check out my stalk.:weed:
