Should I worry?

Hello, love this site, long time lurker, new time member!
I just recently went to the doctor got my forms, certification etc, sent it in and nothing...

I certified the mail, and it says it arrived at its destination on tuesday 8/14/12. However the check has still not been cashed, I know its only been a few days, but I keep hearing that the state chases it RIGHT away. So i'm wondering if i should be freaking out now, like i am or if i should be calm as a cucumber.

How long did it take for your check to be cashed the first time you were certified?

THANK YOU! For your answers. I know people ask this question a lot, but i only ever see a few responses, please respond. Thank you again.

they are still a bit behind. I would expect to get anything back for about another 10 days.

yeah for the most part the state cashes them FAST but then again....this is the state so even the part they almost always get right could easily go wrong. I mean I wouldn't freak, you went the extra mile already and the courts say your information is enough (card not as necessary as docs recomendation and you got that). so I'm thinking the bad news is no dispensaries for you til they unfuck what they fucked up but the good news is P2P if you know a guy is protected with your docs and I'd say full steam if you were going to grow yourself. warning!!!!! I'm no lawyer and without a cashed payment you're stuck in the law, it's in there word for word.
answering your questions: for me, my check every year is cashed in less time than I thought the letter would take to get there! Now, your "hard card"....I hear it is better but I have not seen nothing in plastic for at least a month after my acceptance letters. patient and caregiver stuff both, caregiver stuff takes longer by a lil while for whatever reason, that's my experience.

For me the check is cashed in 4-5 days after sending it and hardcard has been a month on average

Mailed mine on a Friday, they received/signed for it on Monday and cashed my check on Wednesday.

Hope this helps :bigjoint:

Check cashed two days ago, 8/20!!! Now I just have to wait out the remainder of my 21 days I think...
Nah. They accepted deal when check was cashed. You are more patient than most. Many dispensaries will even let you in with proof of canceled check. That is the biggie. Congrats.

State got my check on the 8th of august and they didn't cash it until the 16h. No explanation...

It took 18 days to get my last renewal; so they are about caught up I think.
Just got my new card last week.

My first card took about 35 or 40 days.
My second card took about 45 days.
My third card took about 60 days.
And this year it only took 18 days.

I use personal Dr. and I swear they put pot Drs. in one pile and all other Drs. in the In box again.
I have seemingly always got my card a bit 'early'.

Another thing is I don't send check - I send money order registered mail.

Damn now I'm having trouble finding dispensaries that will take me, they want me to wait the 21 days out...What the heck? Does anyone know of places that aren't like this near the metro detroit/oakland county area? Thank you for all your help, this sucks having to wait for meds.

Each one is different...but with the crackdown on dispensaries that took place, a lot of still existing dispensaries / co ops are being super careful, especially with people they don't know / haven't done business with yet. Some dispensaries in my area aren't even accepting patients that didn't get registered at THEIR dispensary..

When my wife got registered last year before the dispensary crackdown, right after she saw the doc we were pointed in the direction of the med counter to purchase some buds so like I said, every place has different rules they follow.

They purchased more card printing machines, I remember hearing that they only had like one before. I got one of my patients card around 18 days also, and she was a new patient.
