Red solo cup... I wrap you up... oops sorry just had the song in my head and fit well...

probably need more input.. seedling, cloning etc... I some how remember seeing this somewhere on line... but do not remember. I would go with no.

You can get cup tops at your local gas station
the straw + will let some air humidity out !!

That's a really good idea very innovative lol by the way my first grow was kens GDP an that shit was so simple to grow and I must say the yield was impressive and the smoke is ok not what it was all put out to be I got. 4 and a half oz off one plant for my first grow but hell now I can't even get my seeds to sprout

Also what's the normal wait time for a mj seed planted directly in the soil and how long would you leave your seeds in a paper towel while germing with that method

Mabe 14 days ? IMO I would try more after that !
Try putting seeds in a glass of water for 24 hr then put them in soil , they break open better !!

Is it possible you planted them too deep?
More than 3/8 of an inch, and they will have a real difficult time coming through.

I only planted them 4mm deep I have them on a heating pad on low which reaches 85+ and two cfl's one 45 watt on 23 and a t5 the cfl's are 2in above the cups the t5 is on the side of my tent I also have one jock horror seed between some paper towels in tufferware that I have wrapped in a t shirt to keep light out that I put on a shelf in my tent I also just planted them today and put the one jh in the pt today how long do you think it will be before I see a sprout

If you're doing straight into dirt, without germinating them first, could take up to 14 days.
If the top of the soil is getting up to the 85 degrees you mentioned, you may be cooking them though.
Make sure you keep the soil damp, since they will be fighting to pop, plus fighting to push through the dirt.
The moistness will make the outer skin softer, (the reason somebody previous told you try soaking them 24 hrs. first)
