should my buds be hard?

through my grows, i have had small yields, large yields, leafy buds, premature buds, spongy, fruity, etc, etc

i let one of my friends get one of my plants at about 3 weeks. he is kind of a noob, but has a general sense of what to do.
any way, when his crop was done, the nuggs were all dry and hard feeling, whereas on all of my plants they were soft, and obvously retaining moisture.

i feel that my buds are the way to go, am i wrong?

Well, when he dried (and cured, im assuming), his buds were just dried out more. And to answer your question, no, you're not wrong. That has to do with personal preference. Some people like their buds dry and crumbly, and others like them a little moist. I myself prefer them a little on the moist side, just a tad. Anyways, hope this helps . Toke up brotha

it seems like the people who yield huge cola's might have this same effect, idk

Could also be due to the humidity level in the area where the plant is grown. Maybe your grow area is a bit more humid than his, so your buds stay a little softer? I don't know really, just a guess.
