Should My root be stinking out of SOIL?

Hey guys im newBee here. My root is sticking out of soil? The root is coming out of soil and making a curved upside U shape and the other end seems to be sticking in the soil as well! Should that root be showing like that

if it bothers you just crumble a tiny bit of dirt from the edges over it.
don't tamp...don't pack...let it be...the plant will push it out of the way if it's in the way
