Should roots look like this?

Hello just wondering if roots should be looking like they are covered in dirt in a DWC, like they are trying to eat the nutes maybe, maybe not root rot??? anybodys look like that?

If the smell is really musty its probably rot. Gently hold a root in between 2 fingers and run your hand down the length of the root... if shit falls off then its probably rot.

My DWC shit crashed... I saved the plants though! Go Go Rockwool!

if your roots are not white you might have some root rot. i know i got yelled @ for this earlier. but hydrogen peroxide works. 3% store bought like 1 dollar a bottle add like 1/2 tsp per gallon. see if theres change if not add a little more. maybe like a teaspoon a gallon but i wouldnt add more than that. and then after check your pH if its flucuated add pH down or up to balance

or you could by grotek h2o2 but i think its pretty expensive

me thinks its just like liquid karma attaching to roots, roots are still white, but that gunk is on them and comes off when you touch em. thanks for the replys, asiankatie hydrogen peroxide might help thx
