This is creating confusion, so I will clear it up. The war on Iraq didn't have anything to do with the war on terror. Iraq despised the terrorists more than we do. Saddam would execute every one he caught, publicly. Saddam was a good ally to have and he would have continued to be so had we not decided to bully him.

The war on Iraq was wrong, no question. Do not confuse this with the war on terror.

If you pay attention to the news, you'll see that the exact same thing is going on about Iran now, that was going on before the start of Bushs' war in Iraq. He is trying to build a case for war with Iran. I'll guarantee you if we start a war with Iran, it will lead to nukes. We don't have the military ground force to take on Iran. They have a million man standing Army and lots of weapons. Iran will flood into Iraq and kill thousands of our troops. It would be pure insanity, but Knowing the insane crew at the white house, I wouldn't put it past them!​

our military could crush all who oppose us... the government is the problem... they limit the troops to much... if they put a competent general in charge and told them to fix the problem in the middle east it could be done and with very little loss of life... wars are no longer fought like wars they are fought instead like conflicts... our gov. is to scared of what people think to do the right thing... it all comes back to corrupt politicians... if they weren't all so busy trying to make sure they look good and keep their positions and instead were concerned with the plights of this country we could live in a golden age instead however they are leading us down a path of destruction... if the crazy people of the world are not dealt with in a manner which brooks no argument or retaliation (the threat of total obliviation by a more powerful force) then we are in a lot of trouble... The corporations that want all the worlds resourses at their disposal have bought this government and are making them conquer the countries that have good stuff, like OIL. It is blatantly obvious to anyone that can step away from all the patriotic crap you've been brainwashed with, and see the true reasons for war. I am a patriot of the first degree, but what our country is doing world wide, is despicable and has no place in the patriots hall of fame! This government controls the populace with fear as opposed to benevolence. Scare the people enough with false info (WMDs, ties to al-queda, building nukes, etc.) and they will allow you to wage war in their names. This is the real deal, check it out!

I fully believe now that the countdown to judgement day is ticking so much quicker these days, we opened pandoras box when we attacked the east, now slowly they have been making their way across to blend into our society and hold jobs here. Bide their time and get into positions of authority, then boom.

There are also further threats now that are far more worrying, china launching the sattelite killer. New technology like this is never good because it moves that alarm clock for destruction nearer and nearer to the time when the human races destroys itself.

If everyone coud get along a bit better and put the same funds and research into bettering the human race instead of ways to destroy it life would just get better and better.

i'm not brainwashed trust me on that one... i know our leaders are corrupt and i understand your point... however i also know that the radical muslims need to be stopped anyone who pays attention to the world and how things are going know that if Iran gets a nuclear weapon their crazy ass leader will use it... and the first thing he is going to do is wipe Israel off the map and then start seeing how far his missles will fly... and as far as saddam goes we should have used him first.... but karma was coming for his ass sooner or later he murdered a lot of people...

Maybe, but he should know that would bring total destruction to the country, and even if he survived it, he wouldn't be able to stick his head out for years. I believe Bush is as crazy if not more than Ahmadinajad. He believes in the second coming and Armegedden, and hastining it along fits his agenda. We have some scary leaders in this world. Athiests won't like this as they believe this life is all we have. BTW, did you guys check out Ahmadinajads' last news conference? He was seated in front of a giant picture of an opium poppy field, hmmmm......... I wonder if he's a Junkie, he kinda looks like one.

well we can always hope for the best next election... but i doubt it gets any better... most politicians are corrupt... they make promises but what their ad campaign should really read is if elected " I will do everything possible to further my own ends" that would at least be the truth... we need a true peoples party... an independent party that could actually get things changed... however stupid people keep electing the same asshole politicians that have been screwing us for years and then wonder why things are so bad...

Good thread! Sounds like many of you fellas smoke a few fatties, crank on CNN, and get pissed off! Some great points were made, like how the fuck Iran managed to get deflected by Iraq. I think little Bush's motive was also increased by the fact Sadam wanted his daddy to be assassinated during his "reign".

I defeinately agree that many of these world leaders are nut-bags. Why the hell would any president openly say that God tells directs him in his actions on behalf of the country (that is known for a separation of church and state). That's like saying the appellate court system is not meant to curb frivolous litigation and excess verdicts....oh yeah, he did that too. Let me try again, that's like saying the president interprets law and not the court, oh yeah, he did that too in regards to telephone calls and most recently the mail. Wow, Bush is just taking all the shots he can muster to kill the system of checks and balances meant to curtail the abuse of any one branch of government (executive, judicial, legislative).

saddam murdered people to gain a strong hold on his country. Murders, that if not commisioned by the allies, were at least known to us at the time. I read a news report about how saddam gassed an entire village. This is most likely true as the reason for this was that they were a terrorist group raising arms against him, even terrorists have gotta live somewhere, have somewhere to put their feet up at night. In fact this same group were responsible for an attempt on his life. They didn't want to kill him because he was a bad man, they wanted to kill him because they were bad men that, had they gotten into power would have turned Iraq into a Taliban controlled country. Now Saddam is dead, actually executed by his enemy, coincidentally our enemy too, and we gave them the sword. Murder was not the issue, the issue as always was money. Actual robbery, robbery on a scale not seen since the ravaging of Africa. This is a crime, and they hide it with propaganda, lies that they spill through the media, spinning a web to confuse us so that we miss the point.

Finally you guys are hearing on the news about the shit happening over here. Birmingham, as it happens, is the City I live in. The muslims are using a tactic here. They are trying to calm things down, make out like they are the victims and that if you hate them it makes you a racist, they are probably trying to gain support from other minority communities.

There are already running battles in the streets of my city. The black british are on the front line as they live within the same areas. Mosques have been petrol bombed. We want them out, I want them out. Trouble is, if you end up in court against a muslim you don't stand much chance of winning, as the country must not be seen as racist.

I actually think this is a possibility once things start getting even more serious. The "moderate" Muslims had better start speaking out against the radicals pretty soon. If the radicals don't stop, there won't be a safe place for the vast majority of Muslims to go ... other than the Middle East.

The trouble with this whole thing, the core of it all is pakistan. Pakistan is the centre of Islam, it's very capital. Also, Islam's most powerful Country. Strangely enough this is where a lot of 'moderate' muslims spout their bullshit from.

The 'moderation' is merely a guise so that they can linger, confuse and sink in their calws ever further. I know there are no moderate muslims, maybe one in every ten thousand (and only these because they have maybe done something to become ostracised from the muslim community).

Maybe, I'm wrong. yet, is this worth the risk of allowing this threat even more power? The way I see it we have 2 choices, we either wipe every single muslim from the face of the earth, or we keep ourselves seperated. Maybe just nip over now and again to stop them gaining nuclear thechnologies, and to rob them of some more oil.
