On the basis that they get oogled and what not at regular gyms. There are creepy fucks at other regular public gyms that just stare and gawk while chicks are working out, so should they legally be allowed to say "No men allowed"?

Women who go to the gym like to get some attention That's why they are trying to develop a nice piece of ass. Women who don't like to have men attention stay home close to the TV eating all sort of sweets to develop a huge piece of ass so they don't get to much attention

an really do they think dudes are starin at every girl thats in the gym? only a handfull of them are hot an in shape an those usually do workout where the dudes do cause as geronimo said they like that attention. girls are a hell of a lot more sensitive bout their looks tho. plus half the workouts one would do at a gym dont have them pokin there ass out like squats or deadlifts.

I will say yes. We have male and female restrooms. I think you can only allow this to be a law if you make it so that gyms can bar males from the gym (to make a female gym) but not so a gym can't bar females. There are plenty of gyms for men.


If you aren't cool with this then we need to only start building UNIsex bathrooms.

Discrimination has a history of MEN keeping WOMEN down. I don't see why women can't have a few things that are just for them. We have Lots of male sports that females can legally be a part of but can't do. So they create a WNBA , LPGA, [INSERT OTHER WOMAN ONLY THING I CAN'T THINK OF CAUSE I AM A MAN]. We allow this already

I was going to say no... but some things like yoga, pilates and zumba might make the ladies feel a little self conscious and oggled. I mean flirting at the treadmill is one thing but if you're looking through your kegs as you get into a straddle split you can feel a bit...icky and dirty just from being watched doing it... This si coming from someone who posts pictures of herself in lingerie; men watching you do gym movements makes you feel dirty... And girls who go to the gym may not be feeing too confident about their shape... I HATE going to ballet class with hardly any men and just mirrors as it is.

For normal stuff like rowing machines and treadmills I say women should just laugh off, ignore or accept whatever attention they get. Guys will be guys. Only if they are really doing something that puts them in a compromising position like yoga etc

That sounds good... Then all the self conscious women can go to that gym until they feel hot enough to strut the treadmill at the unisex gym...everybody wins...

I own this DVD... actually a very intense workout but I wouldn't do it in public!

I wish my wife was a little more fit to be able to do that but she's working on it. She just got the P90X DVDs so this Winter she's giving those a try. Maybe by next year.

Hun, there's an entire thread which is why half the site hates me.

Back on topic- join a ballet class to oggle more subtly. You all stand in a line for barre work and there are mirrors. You will enjoy developpe.

Girls who do not want to oggling know how/where to stand and when shorts/tutu are necessary.

Their is already separate gyms made for women only, so they already have that choice if they feel that strongly about it, old news.

i'm just curious how a "men only" establishment would be received. My experiences with women as a whole tells me that there might be a few women who just don't want to be told they can't join.

It goes in the other direction, as well. If this twenty-year-old article still holds true, one can make an all-male or all-female environment without actually making it a rule, but just by providing a cleverly-appointed environment. This was before the Brony phenomenon, of course. cn
