*Ahem* but I actually meant for like...the general population? There are TONS of single parents in this country...surely many of them with parents who still believe in corporal punishment. And i'm sure that means there are thousands of "unconventional" families where mothers have no choice but to spank sons and fathers their daughters. If this were the case in child psychology, if it were such a prominent issue with as blatant evidence that it would have to be classified as "basic child psychology" (something i'd learn in child psychology 101 then...) but as it is your post was the first i'd ever heard of this. Can you quote your source, please, so I can read it over?

Ok heres how i see it , ............so i catch my child hitting a crack pipe , so i grab my crack pipe load it with a big rock and light it up whilst telling him/her not to ever , ever do this shit , i fumble about and load another rock , yeah dont you ever do this shit its bad.
I then see my child hit another child , i grab him/her and smack it hard on the legs , 'dont hit other people ' i say , its very bad to hit people ' then i give his legs another good hard hit , 'that willl teach you to hit someone '.

I personally could never ever lay a hand on my own flesh and blood , good parenting means you do not need to use violence to get a point across , bad parenting means you need to step over the line and strike a child in order to maintain your dominance , if your child respects you then violence is not needed to control a child , only shit poor parenting needs violence to back it up .
PLEASE TELL MY WHY A CHILD WHO RESPECTS THERE PARENTS NEEDS TO BE BEATEN ?
IF YOUR CHILD DOSENT RESPECT YOU THEN YOU HAVE ALREADY DONE SOMETHING WRONG , PROBABLY BEEN TO CRITICAL.

hmmm depends on who is on the end of your so called discipline , how about i 'discipline' you the way i want you to behave , call it what you want , but when an adult strikes a child , i call it abuse , bullying , violence etc etc , if you are a good parent , your child will show respect without the need of your back hand , my child has been naughty in many ways , but never have i felt the need to physically strike her , thats just sick and barbaric , you might think your cool , laying your big hands on a tiny child , but i dont .
If you had any intelligence about you , your child would not be behaving in a way you would feel the need to physically strike them .
How about i come over to your house and slap you on the back of the legs every time you do something i dont like , you are a sick individual and i hope your kids grow up disrespecting your violence .

Never, did he say, would you come home from a hard day of work, crack open a cold one, hit your crack pipe, and beat your kid.... C'mon man, some cultures look at this as the only thing. you aint even got a child in your balls little kid, when you have done the deed and you actually have a child in your arms that you are responsible for and you stop talking shit then come back to me , right now , you look like a kid who has just realized you can grow your own weed instead of spending mums pension on your weed habbit .maybe just maybe one day you will shoot your spunk in a placid vagina and sprout a child of your own , then you may realise weed dont make you look cool no more, and the maybe you might raise your hand and strike your own flesh and blood .
