think so?

guess what i just saw this morning at Whole Foods?..a women wearing a surgical mask:wink:

tried to get a pic but some douchebag was looking and i didn't want to get into a fight over creative license.

have you all ordered your respirators?

pro tip hint: if you're only going to only wear a surgical mask it needs to be at least 95N Particulate, which the lady's mask in WF wasn't.

Why wear a mask if Ebola is passed only by touching? Wouldn't it be more prudent to wear gloves?

Does coughing a microscopic mucous particle with an attached ebola pathogen into another person's open orifice count as "touching?" I think it does.

You could be touched in the eye, nose, mouth, or an invisible micro-abrasion, by an infected particle, and you wouldn't even know.

Maybe the shelf stocker at the ebola-glove-store is already infected? You touched that box with bare hands! OMG!

Someone could rip a really dense fart, BOOM, ebola.

How long do you think it will be before ebola somehow becomes Marijuana's fault?

it's like "The Happening." Except this time, weed is mad and trying to kill us by summoning ebola, instead of just plant-hormoning us into suicide.

Obviously, my personal stash should be legal on my person, regardless of my location.

ebola passes through fluids..ever been around someone who just sneezed, then touched that shopping cart..you touch same, then touch your face minimally 4x/hour. micro-droplets it's all about the micro-droplets.

personally, you need to wear both and double glove.

this is one where the preppers are correct.

Transmission
Human-to-human transmission can occur via direct contact with blood or bodily fluids from an infected person (including embalming of an infected dead person) or by contact with objects contaminated by the virus, particularly needles and syringes.[17] Other body fluids with ebola virus include saliva, mucus, vomit, feces, sweat, tears, breast milk, urine, and semen. Entry points include the nose, mouth, eyes, or open wounds, cuts and abrasions. [18] The potential for widespread EVD infections is considered low as the disease is only spread by direct contact with the secretions from someone who is showing signs of infection.[17] The symptoms limit a person's ability to spread the disease as they are often too sick to travel.[19] Because dead bodies are still infectious, local traditional burial rituals may spread the disease.[20] Nearly two thirds of the cases of Ebola in Guinea during the 2014 outbreak are believed to be due to burial practices.[21] Semen may be infectious in survivors for up to 3 months.[22] It is not entirely clear how an outbreak is initially started.[23] The initial infection is believed to occur after ebola virus is transmitted to a human by contact with an infected animal's body fluids.

One of the primary reasons for spread is that the health systems in the part of Africa where the disease occurs function poorly.[24] Medical workers who do not wear appropriate protective clothing may contract the disease.[25] Hospital-acquired transmission has occurred in African countries due to the reuse of needles and lack of universal precautions.[26][27] Some healthcare centers caring for people with the disease do not have running water.[22]

Airborne transmission has not been documented during EVD outbreaks.[2] They are, however, infectious as breathable 0.8– to 1.2-μm laboratory-generated droplets.[28] The virus has been shown to travel, without contact, from pigs to primates, although the same study failed to demonstrate similar transmission between non-human primates.[29]

Bats drop partially eaten fruits and pulp, then land mammals such as gorillas and duikers feed on these fallen fruits. This chain of events forms a possible indirect means of transmission from the natural host to animal populations, which has led to research towards viral shedding in the saliva of bats. Fruit production, animal behavior, and other factors vary at different times and places that may trigger outbreaks among animal populations.[30]

Gloves and a mask won't always protect you, might make you feel better.
Want protection? Stay home.

According to official government (they never lie) sources, micro droplets of Ebola cannot survive in aerosol form, neither can they survive on surfaces. According to the official sources you can only get Ebola from direct contact with the bodily fluids of an infected and symptomatic person.

BS

That is why I call the police anytime someone around me cough, I didn't give permission to be touched So I lay charges of assault and battery on these people. Currently in 12,000 pending court cases.

assuming you are wearing underwear..wouldn't a dense fart's density be strained by the cotton?

therefore, only the gas properties escape..infection by methane would be difficult since gas rises.

If you can smell a fart, it's because of the microscopic shit particles.
