I see. My plants do the same thing when the lights go off. It's so weird to think of it as sleeping, but i guess that's what they're doing.
Those big ring-like structures that appear at the bottom where the nodes split. They almost look like knuckles.

It seems normal enough. I've had some plants do it and some plants that don't. I know plants normally raise and lower their leaves all day (check out time lapse videos of bud growing on youtube for proof), so maybe we're just catching them when the leaves are down. My theory is that they're concentrating on root development at the time, but I'm no botanist so I'm probably wrong.
Genetics. Some plants have pink crystals just like some plants have purple buds. Plushberry has REALLY pink crystals. I don't think it makes the weed stronger, but it definitely ups the bag appeal.

Update on my Mango girl
She's pickin the pace up bigtime. She's been thrown into a bigger pot for maximum hugeness. Topped and LST'd like the Skunk plant from my first grow, but showing between 8 and 10 colas as opposed to the 6 from the Skunk. I'm hoping to get 1oz from this one.
