Hey fellas... just bought an Herb Iron... should be here in less than a week
I'm way stoked.. I use beeline right now, and rips taste very very clean and ganja flavored... no nastyness... so I'm hoping that herb iron will make milking a little easier, and make the bud go a little longer
I havn't used too many water pieces that are unique.. IT looks like you have a bowl with a bulb underneath it, and I don't know how everything connects really . Probably pretty simple. but it seems like I would have to hit it to figure it out.
ahhh yes... it may look a little weird, but its simple & elegant!
Basically you have the downstem which fits into the bong, and has the tubing and a MALE glass on glass end
You insert the downstem into the bong, and then basically slide the bulb over the tube, and onto the glass on glass fitting. You then fill up the bulb with just a little water
On top of the bulb is a hole, that you place glass on glass bowls into.
If you notice, the bowl goes JUST past the intake to the next stage. So the smoke comes down, and any ash hits and sticks to the water. The smoke then swirls around until the bulb is completely full, then the smoke gets to the intake tube and gets sucked to the next stage.
With the ROOR ash catcher, it fits into the bong like a normal ash catcher, with a normal downstem.. but then I have an adapter for the bulb. Which is the SAME system as the downstems pictured, except there is no tube for the downstem, it ends on glass on glass at the bottom.
It makes an excellent ash catcher because its easy to take apart, it has two holes at either side and it catches all the ash... Also a great precooler because it spends a little time in the bulb..
