Shower stalled

I'm converting a shower in my basement into a grow room for my first grow. I have the lights, pots, soil, and seeds are ordered. I'm using the cfls as the other forms of lighting are too expensive. There's not a lot of money to throw around on this grow. The walls are already white, the curtain is white, so what else do I need, if anything, to make the grow successful?

I've ready about fans, exhaust, carbon filters, etc. The shower is open topped, so I don't think I'll need an exhaust....

Thanks for any advice.

You will surely need an exhaust. A bathroom should have a fan for exhausting it anyway. But you will want fresh air in, a way to take the stale hot air that rises to the top out, and and oscilator to move it around and through the canopy. Post some pics.

It's not a bathroom, just a shower stall. The top is open so I just plan to put a fan at the bottom. The hot air should just go out the top. I'll set my camera up on my other computer and post a picture tomorrow if I can get to it. Thanks for replying.

I don't know if I got the pictures in right, but it shows a Sun System Sun Blaze 22 T5 and a hillbilly rigged outfit with six 100 watt equivalent daylight cfls with a stove pipe hood. The lights were suspended to a square 1 inch rod, so that 1/4 turn takes it up an inch. The larger pots were used, but were washed with a bleach solution. I got the best potting soil I could find at the time. There's a white shower curtain not shown so it's flat white all around. I plan to put a small fan in it, but I don't think the stall will need a top as there's no other light to leak in during flowering. I'm just waiting for my White Widow seeds to get here. So what else do I need?

Are U planning on planting every one of those pots? If so you might have a penetration issue once they are a couple weeks old and def in flower. The set up is pretty nifty though, you should check out the Ghetto growers thread..

I will plant them all, but I will remove all but the females. I ordered 10 seeds, so I should get at least a few femes. Now that I've had a look at it, I should have posted this in the ghetto section. My rig is not the worst, but far from the best. I'll build better if my thumb turns up green. Thanks for sending me to the Ghetto.

Im pretty sure you are going to need a lot more light then a couple cfls for that many man. I have 11 cfls on 2 plants right now.

You may be right. I plan to get another T5 fixture before the plants are very large. There's room for it in the stall. Also, I may need to put a few low watt cfls down on the sides. From what I've read so far, I just may get a metal halide outfit and use what I have now as supplemental lighting. I'm not sure which way I'll go yet.

I got two mh 400 watt lights now. And I added about 50 percent fox farm soil. I couldn't find the promix. My plants are doing pretty well now. Thanks for the advice.
